Battle for Sehz-Clar Pt. IV

"Interesting, huh?" Damon asked, looking out at the Sehz-Clar army heading our way, the thirty thousand Alacryans marching in unison, side by side, about a mile out. I gave him a confused look as Ellie, Kordri, and I stood there with him. "The fact that Agrona saw something like this coming, that he implanted a spell capable of taking control of people's body."

"Your father did the same." Kordri told him, giving Damon a glare, the elves behind us stood in formation, unsteady, shaking a little, it was clear my people weren't prepared, but would do whatever they had to do. "I wouldn't be talking."

"You going to shut me up?" Damon said, looking at Kordri. "The four pathetic asuras you trained couldn't." I felt Kordri snap at him, the two were face to face, I felt their auras hitting me, I was unable to do anything.

"Say it again." Kordri said, but Ellie stepped in between them, pushing them apart as we prepared to go into battle together.

"Stop it." Ellie told them. "We need to work together right now, there are too many lives at stake." I heard from Damon that they won the battle in Maerin but were moving to Sehz-Clar to be protected by a shield. "Can the two of you do that for me?"

Kordri just looked at Damon, and as they stared at one another, Damon tilted his head, refusing to speak up. "I can if he shuts his mouth." Kordri told him, and I saw a smirk form on Damon's face as he heard this.

"I can't do that." Damon told him, turning to the elven army, ignoring the asura who was just speaking to him like it was nothing. "Elves!" The whole army stood at attention for him, and he shot us a smile. "I'm in charge, not you." Damon conjured a blade in his hand and raised it into the sky. "Do not be afraid of death, make it your ally, as we will send all thirty thousand of them into their graves!"

"Yeah!" The elves shouted out in joy for their leader, like he said, he was in charge, they all seemed to have pledged themselves to Virion's cause. I could feel Ellie grow a little angry from those words though, I did as well, but what else were we going to do.

"Damon." Ellie said as he turned back to us, the elves started slamming their weapons into the ground, making noises as they prepared for battle, the Alacryans getting closer and closer. "Those are innocent people; we can't kill them."

"They are innocent." Damon said, walking over to us and agreeing with Ellie's statement. "If you have another solution, please let me know, because my orders are to protect the elves with my life, and the only way to do that is by killing this force off."

Ellie went silent, no one said anything, he had a point, there really wasn't a different solution. The only way to stop them was by killing them, they were under Agrona's control, but if we held back, a lot of elves would die, and if we have to pick, the elves meant a lot more than they did.

"True." Ellie said, facing the army. "But doesn't Agrona know he is sending them to their slaughter?" The four of us went back to facing the army, preparing ourselves for the fight, Damon was the calmest alongside Kordri, the two knew they could deal serious blows by themselves, or could possibly kill them by themselves.

"He doesn't have much of a choice." Damon told Ellie. "They are trapped within the shield, the only way to take it down is by destroying the device at Seris's estates, which now, is protected by us. There only choice was to come here and try to kill the elves, and at the time, the only person her was Aya, and she had to deal with Cylrit, so they might have had a chance if we didn't show up."

"Alright, I think it's time I call him, I can feel his panic from over here." Ellie said, changing the subject, then out of nowhere, Boo appeared beside her. "You ready, bud." Boo nuzzled her head at those words and faced forward with the rest of us.
