Damon Leywin

I was walking toward Mayburn City, alone, Arthur trusted me to do this for the continent, which did make me feel good. He didn't trust my father to do it, which means he at least trusted me a little more than him.

I was in a forest outside the city, approaching it on foot, but I could sense the fifteen thousand troops outside of the walls around the city. I was ordered not to kill them, which, to be honest, is probably going to be hard, but then again, I get to kill their leaders, so it makes up for it. I believe Arthur and Virion are coming to the city after I retake it, at the moment they were back in Vildorial planning the recapture of Etistin and Xyrus.

They didn't know that I was coming, none of their scouts within the forest senses nor saw me coming, those people, I did kill, I mean, I had too. I could see the city now, the fifteen thousand troops outside of it camped up and ready to fight whenever the moment came. I ran a hand through my long black hair, making sure my ponytail was up, then I stepped out of the forest, and released my aura and killing intent.

The mages all stood at the sight of me, shields erupted in the front lines, and a man in the back shouted. "Don't come any closer!" I continued taking steps, and the closer I got, the more I could see, and the fear in their eyes was clear. "Stop!"

I still continued, then I could see a man in the back wave his hand down, and spells flew forward at me. I dodged a fire ball, then a wind blade, then water, then other spells, none hit me, they were weak.

I dashed forward, appearing within their force, behind their shields, and I stuck a sword I conjured into the chest of the man I saw wave his hand down, assuming he was the commander of the force.

"Behind!" They shouted as I dropped the sword and the man onto the ground, leaving his dead body behind me. I pointed both my hands to my sides where Alacryan mages where, and wind blades shot out of them, killing everyone they hit, which was about twenty on each side of me.

"If you shoot a spell at me, you die!" I shouted, and they froze. "My name is Damon Leywin, I am here to retake this city, if you want to fight, fine, but if you want to live, please lay down your weapons, and deactivate your runes!"

There were about forty dead bodies now, but I was only sending a message, it might have been a little much though. "Damon Leywin?" Someone said, then weapons started dropping, mana died down, and I just looked around at each one of them.

I sent word to open a portal up which led to the camp where the other Alacryan soldiers were. "Into the portal if you want to live, there will be someone at the camp who will inform you on what needs to be done!"

A portal opened, and the mages closest to it started flooding in, their eyes flickering at it and then me, scared, unable to predict what I was going to do. I would have killed each one of them who looked me in the eyes, but I couldn't, I was listening to Arthur's orders, it was the right thing to do.

I turned to the mages running around me, scared to get to close, knowing if they did, a death would come quickly. I wonder if the people within the city are going to be scared to see me, I'll try to be open to them, but all the Vritras they know, or people with horns they know are there enemy, besides Virion, but I bet most of them will be happy to just here that they are free.

I flew up slightly, overlooking the soldiers still entering the portal, only about a thousand had entered. I don't think they will try anything, so I'll head into the city and clear any other Alacryans out. The wall wasn't that high, so I flew over it and landed within the city on the bay, it wasn't gigantic like Etistin, but it was still big, one of the bigger cities within Dicathen.
