I stepped through the portal, and as I did, I noticed the portal over the town. "Nice." I said, observing it as more people stepped through. "A manaless portal, pretty smart, can't believe father came up with this."
"Really?" Rosa asked. "You know father quite well, of course he would have come up with this." We were currently within the town of Maerin. It was abandoned after everything went down, no citizens, nothing, so we were making camp here. "This shield will hide us from being seen."
The shield we were currently under was a manaless shield, we couldn't use any mana in it, and no one could sense mana within in it, so we were hidden from Agrona. "I know." I said, nodding my head as Ivy and Rosa stood next to me. Kiloph was aiding the Hellspawn and Reapers out of the portal and into position to guard the town which was now our base. "I'm just saying this was smart, it hides us from everyone."
"Yeah." Ivy said, shrugging. "But I don't like the feeling of not using mana, it kind of sucks." I looked at the blood soldiers as they stepped through the portal, Mawar was now aiding them, helping Kiloph in any way she could. "I have everything set up in the towns and cities of Etril, I can't wait to start it all up."
"You know we have to wait." I told her. "Father is going to have some fun over in Vechor, draw some attention over there, make it seem like that's where we are attacking." I shrugged. "But he plans on doing that soon, Melzri is over there, and she is filling him in on everything like you already know."
"I guess, I just hate waiting." Ivy said, turning away from us as she observed the small town we were in, Maerin was kind of a shit whole. "But being out of the Grotto, and being here, is kind of nice, so I'll accept it. The start of everything kind of started with me, which feels amazing."
"I wouldn't say that." Rosa told Ivy, her sister. "The start was our father taking Nico and marrying Selena, not you doing this, setting up some broadcasting devices that most likely won't doing do anything."
"Uh, Rosa, I know father started this, I was only saying that I was the reason we were here now." Ivy and Rosa started to go at it, face to face with one another, I just stayed away, listening, but ignoring at the same time. "It's just nice that we are all here now, the three of us."
"Yeah, true, I can't wait until Nithe and Raven join us, then we all will be together, and unstoppable." Rosa nodded with Ivy as the too already settled down, no longer arguing about pointless nonsense. "You never really told us, Ivy, how well did the phoenix fight?"
"Oh, he was weak." Ivy waved it off. "I could have killed him, would have, but there was a last chance portal that saved him before I could finish the battle." She rolled her eyes, looking at the hundred Reapers stepping through the portal. "If I see him again, that phoenix will die a painful death."
"I'm sure he will." I told her, knowing it was probably true. "It seems like we are good to go." The Reapers and Hellspawn were all out of the portal, numbering in hundreds, all throughout the empty town of Maerin. "Kiloph and Mawar are rounding up the troops, all we have to do is wait until we have orders to leave."
"Ivy, what was the city like?" Rosa asked, looking at Ivy. "Aramoor, sounds like a cool place." I wouldn't say that, but I was curious to hear a little more about this place. This was where the broadcast was going to be projected, well, and the other small towns Ivy placed the devices in.
"Ehh, it was like Xyrus, not in the design or anything, but the people in general." Ivy said, shrugging. "It wasn't anything special, I wouldn't suggest living there to anyone." We all slightly laughed as we thought about it. "Do we know where this Sovereign Exeges is?"
