Slight Change of Plans

I was sitting at the dining room table, the only other person within the estates with me was Fenyir who refused to leave, which was something I saw coming. Raven, Nithe, and Cylrit were at the border, protecting it from any attack.

If I had to guess, there was going to be one soon, I got word from my people on the outside that Virion Leywin took control of a town named Maerin. Agrona was going to have to retaliate at some point, and it wasn't going to be good.

The only bright side is that I now know what Virion has planned, and what Nithe and Raven are doing here, he plans on taking over Alacrya, it was obvious to me now. There was no other explanation for what he is doing right now.

I needed to watch out for Nithe and Raven, I had no clue what they were going to do to me. Cylrit says that I can trust them, but I don't know. I need Arthur here, Caera and him most likely are already in the Relictombs, so there isn't much I can do there. I want to believe Virion is doing this for the greater good, but I doubt that is the case right now.

"Lady Seris." Fenyir said, stepping into the dining room. "Mind me asking why you are still here?" She asked me as she stepped into the room. "I know this is the most important location with the Sovereign's head in the machine, but shouldn't you be out there with the people."

"I had some things to take care of here, and like you said, someone needs to be here to protect the head power almost all of Sehz-Clar." I spoke firmly, but with a calm expression to Fenyir. "What are your thoughts on everything, Fenyir? I didn't ask you what about Virion taking Maerin yet."

The maid stopped by my side, standing four yards from me, still not comfortable sitting around me which was fine. "Well, I never thought he would try to conquer Alacrya, I can tell you that, but I guess there was some telltale signs." I nodded, thinking about it all, wondering if I should have killed the kid, instead of trying to heal him. "I don't think he will do anything bad to the continent, probably be a better leader than Agrona, but at his age, that is something he shouldn't even be thinking about."

"I agree." I told her. "Agrona can no longer ignore him, he can no longer ignore us, my thoughts are on why Virion went for Maerin? It is such a small town in Etril, taking it probably was super easy, and ---" I trailed off as I felt a sudden increase in power in the living room,  my eyes widened, and I knew instantly who the two figures were, I was just talking about them.

"What is wrong?" Fenyir asked me as I stood up, turning towards the exit. "Is someone here?"

She couldn't feel what I did, so she didn't know. "Yes, it appears Raven and Nithe decided to show up." I could see the confusion written across her face as I left the room, heading towards the figures who were still standing in the living room, waiting for me to arrive.

I walked in silence until I got there, Fenyir followed behind me, not saying a word, and as I arrived, the two figures looked at me with a serious face, it was Nithe who spoke first. "We have an issue, Seris."

I stopped in front of them, normally when I meat people like this they would bow to me, but I knew that was not going to happen, nor did I really care, these two were asuras, gods of their own. "And what might that be?" I asked, looking at Nithe. "You two should be at the borders protecting it, or are you here because your father took Maerin?"

"Yes, we should be there, but you'll be happy that we are here." Raven said sarcastically. "Agrona is about to make his move, he just met with Exeges, and let's just say the Legacy and a whole lot of half-breeds are about to show up at our doorsteps in Etril."

"Half-breeds." I said to myself, shaking my head, they told me that Virion made a serum to create them, so I knew about it all. "I should have known that was going to be the case, but how do you know about all that? How do you know that there is going to be an attack before there is one?"
