Her Return

"Hah, sometimes, I look at you and forget that you are simply a child." I shook my head, then shrugged. "Then again, I'm a child, and I don't really know how old I am, well, actually, I do, but it doesn't matter."

"Fu---" She tried to speak, but gave up, I could tell it was getting harder for her to do anything now, she was close to falling over.

"I hope you realize something while you are standing here, before me, powerless to do anything." I paused for a second, looking her dead in the eyes. "When we fought, I never tried to kill you, and look what happened, I survived every time, so while you fall unconscious, think about that, think about what would have happened if I wanted to actually kill you."

Her body fell over, her eyes closed, and I laid it softly on the ground, feeling a sense of joy as I had been waiting for so long to do that. Regis was frozen behind me, I could feel it, he didn't know what happened, nor did he believe it.

"Wait!" Regis exclaimed, and I turned around, shutting the door beforehand. "You are telling me that you had a way to make the Legacy useless, and you never did it?" I nodded my head at him, not really caring what he was thinking anymore. "Veer?"

"What?" I asked again, my voice changing slightly. "Why would I waste that spell on her so early on?" I conjured some mind flames, and placed them inside of Cecilia, claiming her mind and body, Agrona had nothing now, I could rewrite everything later. "Regis, if you think I'm only here to kill Agrona, you are very wrong."

"But you said ---"

"What I say means nothing, it's what I do." I told him, knowing I lie almost with every sentence I speak to other people. "Now, you are going to go and find Arthur, stay with his body, and I'll go and handle everything else."

"Veer." Regis said, shaking his head as he looked at me. "You let so many people die because you didn't want to activate that spell?" I didn't respond, truth was, who did Cecilia really kill? She never was in Dicathen in this timeline, so really, she only killed Asuras, I could care less. "Wait, those flames, you mean to control her like Agrona did."

"No fucking shit." I said, smiling as I looked at him now. "You really think I didn't plan for this moment, Regis, I've been waiting to claim the Legacy for a while now. I just couldn't reveal anything to Agrona as he could heal her and rewrite her mind, but now, as I am here, he'll never get the chance."

"That's crazy!" He exclaimed once again, speaking loudly within the room, no one was coming, I mean there were people walking around, mostly Vritras. "You will be exactly like Agrona then, Veer, you know that, right?"

"Yep." I said, waving my hand up in the air as I turned around, facing the door to leave. "Except for one thing, I don't want Dicathen, which will mean everyone is safe, at least from Alacrya." I know the dragons will always be a threat, that's why I'll kill them all, and then rest of the asuran clans. "You going to do anything about it?"

"I suppose not." Regis said, shaking his wolf head, so I opened the door and stepped out into the hallway. "But we still have to hide, Veer, there are powerful beings in this place." I could hear him cry behind me, trying to protect and guide this mission, annoying wolf.

I spun around and spoke to the wolf. "How about you shut your goddamn mouth?" I made eye contact with him, and then added. "Go and find Arthur, I'll go and do my thing." I paused for a second, feeling the people all around us, well, the vritras. "They aren't together, so it's fine, just kill who you want, or hide, it doesn't fucking matter."

"Fine, damn." Regis said, side eyeing me as he walked by. "You didn't need to be a dick about it."

"Oh, really, nowadays that's the only way people understand things." I said with a straight face, walking beside him, knowing we were going to split up in about a second or two. "Go and help my brother, please." I spoke with a sarcastic tone that time. "Did that sound better?"
