I appeared within a room, a fancy decorated room, sitting on a red couch was man, a god, it was clearly Mordain. His orange like hair clearly resembling what a phoenix would look like, and at the sight of me, he stood, his eyes on me.

"Grey." He said, eyeing me up. "You are a welcoming sight; I've waited so long to meet you." Kordri stepped to the side as I went further into the room, the portal closed, leaving Wren, Regis, and Caera behind. "Please, sit."

He motioned for me to sit as he sat back down, and I nodded and spoke to him as I found a seat across from him. "I've heard a lot about the Lost Prince, I thought you were dead, or a myth, so seeing you is quite a surprise in itself."

"Yes, yes, I know the Dragons tell everyone about how they destroyed our clan, but that's a lie and a story for another day." He told me, his eyes wandering around me, examining my features. "Grey, I take it you have been informed on what has happened?"

"Yes." I said, looking at Kordri who stood at the side of the room. "I heard my brother has killed Aldir, something I never thought was possible, but I guess he did." Mordain nodded, his aura wasn't potent, but pure, it was blissful, surprising would be the key word.

"He has." Mordain said. "And that is why I have come out of hiding, or sent people out of hiding, I should say to retrieve you." He paused, looking at Kordri, then me. "I needed to speak to you, I needed to fill you in, and help where I could."

"I'm all ears." I said, looking at him. "I don't even know where to go from here, my brother means the world to me, I can't kill him, but nowadays it feels like he may kill me." I spoke honestly to the phoenix, saying what was on my mind. "I have plans to go to Alacrya, that is where I plan to start, but I'm listening to any ideas."

"As Kordri and Wren most likely stated, I have granted them to you, they will stay in Dicathen and help out wherever they can, not as an alliance between us, but because they wanted to." Mordain said, which confused me a little, but I didn't respond nor show my confusion. "Going to Alacrya is a good idea, I don't have much to offer, since I was banking on Aldir killing your brother."

"About that, if you want to form an alliance, no one is killing my brother." I told him, knowing that the only reason my brother was in this situation was because of me, because of my life, that novel about me, it is the reason he was able to do everything.

"I don't know if we can." Mordain said. "So, I promise you this, if we start a alliance, I will not pursue him, and I will offer you a soldier, someone who has the same interest as you, and is similar to you."

"I would agree to that." I nodded, knowing that another asura on my side would not hurt. "My brother needs to be stopped, not killed, if it comes down to it, that is my burden, not anyone else's." I would kill Veer only if it was the last option, which means I have to try everything else before it gets to that.

"Then we have an accord." Mordain said, nodding his head. "Chul, the phoenix who is going to go along with you is a Djinn descendant like yourself, Grey, I would have you meet him, but he is in recovery."

"He's a descendant?" I asked. "What is he recovering from?"

"Yes, he is related to the Djinn, and he is recovering from the battle, he was there with Aldir, but didn't fight Virion, he fought a girl named Ivy, one of Virion's children." I haven't met her yet, I wonder how strong she is, but if she is able to take down an asura, she isn't weak. "She wounded Chul quite severely."

"I see." I said, thinking about it. "Well, I'll be happy to meet him when I can." I told Mordain. "If he is related to the Djinn, then we most likely are connected in some way. I'm sure he could help me."
