I just stared at Nico, my eyes wide, I-I didn't know what to do. "Veer, don't." I held my hands up, could I really let Nico die for this? The Djinn said Veer was unpredictable and knew what I was going to do before I did. Did he know about this whole sequence?

"If I don't kill him, or kill him, it is all up to you right now." Veer said, shrugging as the black spikes grew a little more towards Nico's throat, I could see his eyes widened as they almost went into his throat. "Decide, I'll kill him, then leave, and you can have both Damon and Nico, except one will be a lifeless corpse."

I looked at Caera, Regis, Bairon, they just gave me unknowing looks, but I sighed, activating the pocket dimension, and as I did, Damon fell through, appearing before us as the pocket dimension closed.

"There, now let Nico go." I told Veer, looking at Nico and him, I thought I killed him, or injured him, but he looks alright, which kind of made me feel a little better about everything I did. "Veer!"

"Alright, alright." He held his hands up and the black spikes vanished away, freeing Nico, and then a portal opened up beside Damon, and he got up and stepped into it, then it closed. "Go on, Nico, you are free." Nico looked at Veer, then slowly made his way over to our side, but stood off to the side, away from us, shooting me an unexpected head nod of thanks.

"Veer, I'm not stopping, I'm coming for you." I told him, and he still was just standing there, no portal, maybe I shoot attack him, maybe that would work.

"Veer!" I heard a scream from behind us, and as we turned to it, I noticed Ellie and Lance Aya running our way, the Lance who has almost recovered from a broken spine, of course, she had one arm, and her eyes were almost cut out, but they healed nicely, and she looked good.

"Oh my, was this your plan, to warm my heart with my sister, Aya, you, wow, how thoughtful of you." He spoke with a joking tone. "It makes me want to gag." I stayed still as they arrived near us, Ellie shot Nico a wide eyed looking, most likely thinking about Elijah, or maybe she thought he was Elijah, I didn't know.

"Veer." Ellie said, looking my way, then Veer's. "Don't leave, we can talk through this, develop some sort of way where we all win." I liked Ellie's idea, but there was no talking to him, he was clearly focused on trying to take over Alacrya. "We are on your side."

"Hahahaaha." Veer laughed, causing us all to flinch in confusion and fear, I readied myself, my eyes watering, even though I knew it would come down to this. "My side? There are no sides anymore, only players, and right now there are four."

"No, Veer --- " Aya started, but Veer silenced her.

"There is nothing you guys can do to change my mind." He looked from Aya to me. "And if you get in my way, there will be consequences." I didn't think he would fight to kill, but now, maybe he would, I don't know anymore. "If that is all, I will be on my way."

"What about my child?" I asked him, and before he looked away to leave, he turned back and faced me. "I want you to be there for it, you are their uncle, don't you care about that?" I could see something flick in his mind as he thought about it.

"Of course, Arthur, they are why I am doing this." He told me, speaking calmly now. "A world without Agrona and Kezess, is the only world that the baby will live happily in." I knew he would see it that way, but I may have found that statement to be true. "But to make that all happen, I will take anyone out that is in my way."

"Veer." I shook my head, but it was obvious we'd lost him. "It's all my fault you are like this, that damned Sea Serpent I gave you so long ago, it has turned you into this." Well, Sylvie gave it to him, but I allowed it. "Just give yourself up."
