Yu's POV:

Nobody will care if he dies.

Nobody will cry.

Nobody will know.

Yosuke's POV:

"Found her," Shin sighs, heading back towards us.

"Where is she?" I frown, meeting him half way.

"At some bar," he shrugs.

"You didn't go in?" Kanji asks.

"Well- no..." He mumbles, a little embarrassed. "I- I mean, it just... it's full of bad memories, y'know..."

"Bad memories?" Chie says. "You mean... it's based off reality?"

He nods. "Seems that way."

"...What makes the memories so bad?" Teddie cocks his head to the side.

"D-dude!" I slap him on the back of his head.

"It's fine," Shin shrugs. "It was just, uh... The first job I had. To, um... Sell in that bar, and stuff."

"You mean drugs?" Naoto confirms.

"Yes, Ms. Detective," he groans.

"Was it... successful?" Rise asks shyly.

"H-hey, you can't ask that..." Yukiko says quickly.

"It was, yeah..." Shin nods slowly. "Yeah... Hana was on the job with me; she even called me a natural..."

"Maybe that's not something you wanna boast about," I mumble.

"We're getting sidetracked," Naoto points out. "Shall we go?"

"Hey, uh, where's Sensei?" Teddie frowns, looking around.

"I- I thought he was right-" I begin, turning around only to notice his absence. "Oh, fuck."

"Wh- whaddya mean, 'oh fuck'...?" Kanji says nervously.

My throat runs dry.

"We have to find him," I say. "Now."

Yu's POV:

"You won't do it."

"Fuck off, Pharos."

"You can't do it," he chuckles lightly, swaying his legs back and forth of the wall. "Can you?"

"I'm not afraid."

My katana scrapes harshly across the ground, feeling heavy in my hand.

"Hm," he thinks. "Perhaps I was meant to help you, in a way."

"I don't care."

He smiles. "I've become so used to hearing that phrase."

"Just go, or I'll kill you first."

"You can't kill me," he giggles. "No. I am Death, after all."

I furrow my eyebrows. "What are you taking about?"

"I don't look all that scary, do I?" He grins. "It's very abnormal, wouldn't you agree?"

"Just go."

"Take my hand." He stretches a small hand out to me, cocking his head. "Come, now. I don't have all day."

I shake my head. "Leave."

He jumps down from the wall, clasping his hands behind his back. "Do you believe in such things as karma?"
