After going back to the Trees I see that Sooni is alone, sleeping. Chris must have had to use the gas on her. I gently pick Sooni up. I still couldn't talk, I felt hollow inside...

I take Sooni to Maini's clinic where Maini looks after her. She tells me she will look after everyone here. All I can do is nod, I leave an head over to Mar'ctes territory.

The ship is open I walk up the ramp I see that Mar'cte is already in the pilots seat. Lu'Nye is at the navigation station.

"Its about time!" Mar'cte growls at me. "It looks like WarAxe has his hands on some impressive Technology. It's going to take us 2 days to get to each Jump point. Get your ass over here so you can learn to pilot this ship! This isn't an ordinary ship..." Mar'cte orders me.

Lu'Nye looked puzzled what to do. I just wave at him to stay where he is an go over to Mar'cte as he brings in the ramp an we take off. I watch carefully as he pilots the ship.

I felt so numb inside...

I don't know if I can do this...

The doubt, the fear was eating at my mind an my very soul.

I did know that if this was truly the end of Chris, it would be the end of me as well...

Looking at Dar'ke, he looked bad. I would have to keep reminding him why we are on this mission. For better or for worse we will bring them home. My pup was very Sly!

I will not just have her go an die in such a way! I failed to protect Krysis, I should have been on board the ship at that time. I will not fail in this mission, I could never look my grand pups in the eyes again if I let their bearer die.

I watch My Sire an Mar'cte at the pilots controls. I have been educated on how to pilot the ship. However I have never seen my Sire so distant....

No that's a lie, when I first saw him when I was a yearling he was like this. The same pain in his eyes, his quiet demeanor...it was haunting.

Mar'cte warned me that my Sire may shut down again. That we had to get him to talk on this mission. If not he may go to a place of no return. I would make that would not happen.

"Sire, you said if I had questions about bearer Krysis to ask you." I say to him with a cautioned tone.

My Sire turns his head slightly in my direction. "Speak..." was all he said to me.

Well it's a start...

"I have seen records recently of what she looked like. Was she really so beautiful?" I asked him.

"She was more stunning up close Lu'Nye..." My Sire says to me "When she hunted, she was at her peek of beauty. There was no one like her with excellent grace, superior skills and perfect stealth. You have her grace when hunting, Lu'Nye..." he says to us softly.

I felt pains in my hearts. As much as it hurts, I needed to know more information. So to keep him talking I kept asking questions while keeping an eye on the markers Chris was giving us.

This was not going to be a good mission...

It didn't take us long to reach WarAxes ship. It was a little under 2 days by my count. Not gonna lie I am so happy to be off that cramped ship. I can't wait to be away from Alexi. I have never met a yautja so full of themselves!
