I take my usual spot next to Eddie at the table, the cafeteria is the same usual buzz of energy for a Friday afternoon, students are eager to begin their weekend plans or go to the usual weekly parties hosted by the rich kids.

"I've got something for you," Eddie says after we talk for a bit, he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a cream envelope, he slides it on the table over to me, smiling knowingly as my brows knit together. "Open it, it's our plans for tonight."

Excitedly I carefully open the envelope, spotting two ticket like pieces of paper, I turn them around and gasp when I see what they're for, putting a hand over my mouth my eyes water. "You didn't!" I exclaim with a grin, Eddie nods and wraps an arm around my shoulders bringing me closer to him.

"I did, we're going to watch Phantom of the Opera." He says proudly, I tilt my head up and kiss his cheek before wiggling with delight, I loved the book so much and have been wanting to go see the show for so long.

Later that evening I rummage through my closet, picking out my best dress and shoes, luckily I have an old winter formal dress from last year that still fits.

After doing my makeup I head downstairs just in time to answer the knock on the door, Eddie stands there holding a single red rose and dressed up in jeans and a dress shirt and tie, both of our eyes widen at each other appearance, he passes me the rose and kisses my cheek. "You look so beautiful." He murmurs.

After helping me into his van we head out of town, listening to Metallica and Black Sabbath whilst I excitedly talk about the show and my hopes for it. Eddie smiles at me the whole time, watching me with admiration and amusement.

Once we arrive I can't contain my excitement, the theatre is like something from a dream, I have no idea how Eddie bought these tickets, but nowadays I don't ask since he gives me vague responses. Eddie takes my hand and leads me into the lobby, other people give us odd looks since we're both pretty young and look less posh than them.

We grab some popcorn before making our way to our seats, we're in the middle which is the perfect spot for viewing the whole show. My eyes can't take it all in quick enough, and I hear Eddie chuckle from beside me.

"You're really something else sweetheart," he mumbles into my ear as the seats soon fill up, "I love you."

I grab his hand and lean my head on his shoulder, "I love you too." I whisper just as the lights go out.

The show begins and I'm amazed, the music is wonderful and I even mouth some of the iconic lines from the book, my eyes fill with tears at the end as I clap and cheer for the cast. Eddie never judges me, he whistles and grins sharing my enthusiasm.

Afterwards we head back into the lobby, my heels click against the marble floor as everyone leaves, however Eddie grabs my hand and pulls me towards him as people walk past.

"Dance with me beautiful." He murmurs putting his hands on my hips, I laugh as he sways me, classical music plays lightly through some speakers and I swear I've never been happier.

Eddie dips me, holding onto my tightly before leaning down and pressing a kiss to my throat. He pulls me up and wraps me in a hug. "Thank you for the best night ever." I mumble.

"It was worth it." Eddie replies lovingly. We go back to his van and I let out a yawn, it's been a long and exciting day.

"Get some sleep we've got a couple of hours until we get home." Eddie tells me as he grabs a blanket from the back of his van and wraps it around me after doing my seat belt up.

I nod and yawn again, resting my head against the window as Eddie drives us home, I only just notice as he hums the songs from Phantom of the Opera, I smile to myself, wondering how I got to lucky to have him by my side.
