"What the hell was that?" I ask.

"We're connected," Cass explains, "not only from our Guardian Angel ties, but it's a sign that she will become an Angel one day."

"So my kid will become a flying monkey when she passes on?" Dean snaps, "not if I can figure out a way to stop this."

"You can't Dean, something this old and powerful can't be changed," the Angel looks at us, "your daughter is meant to become something great, and she will."

Jody comes back into the room again; the tension is thick in the air and she eyes Cassie still holding onto the Angel's hand.

"Cassie, sweetheart why don't you go with Jody, okay? Get those waffles while they're hot."

The girl looks from me to the Angel almost as if asking permission from him; I'm her mother damn it she should listen to what I have to say but when he nods, she releases his hand without a fight and goes after Jody who picks her up and they leave the room. I watch them until they're gone and Jody starts talking to her as a distraction, sighing I turn to the men that interrupted our morning.

"What are you doing here?"

"Cass needs to check on something," Dean says, "real quick then we'll be out of your hair." I raise an eyebrow, "are you kidding me? After all the things I said that's all you can say to me? Why aren't you angry?"

"Because I was cursed," he explains, "the God of Truth was behind all those deaths; when someone asked for the truth, they were given it brutally."

"So I was spilling my guts about how I felt deep down in the back of my mind because of a curse? You knew and yet you poked the bear with an extra sharp spear?"

"Mel let's not fight now," he sighs, "Cass needs to check something because he needs to get back to Heaven according to him he's in a Civil War."

"Fine fine," I grunt, "what do you need?"

"To check for your soul," he tells me, "it'll be painful but I need to be sure."

The room drops a few degrees as I stare at him, he's not lying I can read it on his face, but what the hell does he need to check that for? Crowley returned it before I...my mind stops thinking that was before I went into the cage what if part of me was left behind? But if that were the case I wouldn't care as much about my daughter as I do, hell I'd be acting like Sam right about now.

"I don't need checked, Castiel if I were without my soul, I wouldn't be caring about my daughter the way I do!" I snap, "I'd be acting like Sam so if you're suggesting I'm some soulless freak then you just need to go, now!"

The Angel comes forward anyway taking a firm grip on my shoulder, he pulls back his hand the sleeve rolled up to his elbow and buries his whole lower forearm into my chest just below my sternum and I cry out in agony it's like someone is setting a fire deep inside of me and stirring it with my organs. Then just as the pain comes it subsides forcing me to bend over with hands on my knees the need to vomit rising, but I hold it down.

"Everything is intact," he tells us.

"I told you it was," I growl then he's gone without another word or goodbye to Cassie who then comes in after hearing me cry out in pain, "where Cass go?" she asks sadly.

"He had to leave, CJ," Dean explains, "you'll see him again, I promise."

She smiles then walks back into the kitchen; Dean turns to me now that we're alone.
