Summary: Your first kiss.

Billy -
You're not entirely sure whose idea it was to play spin the bottle in the back room, but you're pretty sure it was Josie Pye's.

She's directing everybody — telling you to sit boy, girl, boy, girl, and deciding who gets to spin the bottle — so that would make the most sense.

"Diana," she says, "you spin."

You're sitting in between Charlie and Moody, which isn't the worst place to be. Moody, though clumsy, is very polite, and Charlie doesn't seem to be too bad, either.

You feel more sorry for Tillie and Ruby. Billy Andrews is sitting in between them.

You're startled when Moody suddenly stands up. When you were lost in thought, Diana had spun the bottle and it landed on him. They're now standing in front of each other, blushing as everyone cheers them on.

They kiss very quickly and awkwardly, then sit back down grinning. You look over at Moody — who looks back at you with an amazed look on his face - and chuckle.

"How about you spin, Anne?" Josie says, a smug look on her face. You look over at your red-haired friend, who seems embarrassed. You and Diana smile at her encouragingly and she spins the bottle.

It lands on Cole.

Everyone laughs, though not in a good way. "The freaks are gonna kiss!" someone shouts, though you don't see who.

Cole and Anne stand, then Cole politely kisses Anne on the cheek and they bow, which everyone laughs at — in a good way this time.

"Y/N," Josie says once Anne and Cole have sat down.

Before you can fully realize what Josie said, Charlie complains, "Why do only girls get to spin?"

"Because I said so," Josie replies. "Spin, Y/N."

Hesitantly, you reach forward and spin the bottle, nervous and excited to see who it'll land on.

Billy Andrews.

You expect to hear a shout of, "Ew! I'm not kissing her!" However, in the midst of Josie opening her mouth to protest, Billy grins and stands.

You're still on the floor due to shock, so Billy holds his hand out. You take it, letting him pull you up. Josie is fuming in your peripheral vision, while everyone else is waiting in silent anticipation.

Billy, still holding your hand, leans forward and kisses you gently and quickly. Everyone begins laughing and cheering — except Josie. As you and Billy sit back down, she glares at both of you.

You're so lost in thought, you don't even pay attention to the rest of the game.

If only he wasn't a jerk, you think.

Gilbert -
Anne, Cole, and Diana invited you to Aunt Josephine's annual Spring Party — actually held in Winter — and you've been nervous and hopeful all day long.

They invited Gilbert Blythe, too.

Josephine had told them that they could invite whoever they wanted, and Anne's mind immediately went to you. Then, they had the idea to invite Gilbert, seeing as you like him and they're certain he likes you, too.
