The morning came quickly. Seonghwa was still snuggled against you in your shared King bed. You were the first to wake, seeing his face still nuzzled into the pillow. You had the urge to snuggle further into the sheets and hold onto him and never let go. But today you had other plans, which required you to get up and out of bed without him noticing, nor waking up.

This mission seemed to be proven easy as you crept your way into the walk-in wardrobe to get dressed into some lazy Sunday attire. You finished in the bathroom soon after, turning on taps and opening products as quietly as possible. You snuck to the bedroom door taking one more glance back to see he is still in the position you left him in. Nuzzled into your pillow. You smile at him before exiting the room, heading towards the kitchen that sits downstairs in the west wing.

"I was curious if you'd show or if my son caught you sneaking out." Seonghwa's mother chuckled at herself seeing you enter the kitchen with a huff. You laugh back at her word, retching for an apron that sits on a rack next to the door. The large kitchen has all its windows opened and the smell of fresh fruit and veg erupts in your nose. The new supplies must have arrived this morning.

"That boy can sleep through a bomb hitting." You laugh walking over to her. She gave you a tight hug, haven't seen her in a couple of months. "It's good to see you, mom."

"It's good to see you too, Sweet." You both broke the hug as you let out a revealing sigh. "And I see the pack haven't killed one another while we were gone." She laughs grabbing some pots from under the table in the cabinet. This was the first vacation they'd had since they retired from the duty of the pack. The eldest, Hongjoong took over straight after and has been leading the pack since. He was impressively good at it, making her proud.

"So, I'll start cutting all these veggies first, can you cut the beef and pork into strips and put them in two separate bowls please." She ordered, making you nod in response, grabbing a large butcher knife to cut into the thick meat. You spent the next thirty minutes talking about everything that you can think of. She spoke about her trip and how her husband got stuck in the hot tub cause he thought putting two whole bottles of soap inside would make it a fun slip n' slide. Your only response was to laugh saying 'You're still young at heart I see'.

You brought up how you were feeling accepted into the pack even though you weren't a wolf yourself and how everyone was so welcoming to you. The times you've been spending with Seonghwa and how the pack has been handling the new alpha seemed to be a blissful dream and you were so happy to help out and be a part of such a large and caring family. You finished cutting up the pork into nice thin strips, before putting it onto the platter to be later taken out to the barbecue. You turned to the other island bench, grabbing one of the slabs of Beef before placing it down on a new cutting board. You have become used to seeing large amounts of meat giving you now have a very large family to feed. But it wasn't often you got to cook it.

Since Seonghwa's family were very well off from their high-end business that meant the pack could live quite peacefully, not worrying about minor takes. but like Seonghwa's mother, you too came from a normal standard class of life so you both missed and enjoyed the tasks of cleaning and cooking and strangely enough so did Seonghwa. That was one thing that made you both, even more of 'a match made from the stars' as his father likes to put it.

"You know, when I first saw the changes in Seonghwa I knew he met his mate at that ball. He wouldn't tell us for weeks." She laughed lightly placing the cut-up lettuce into a large bowl. You smiled along with her, watching with a glow in your eyes as she told the story.

"Don't tell him this but I sent one of our staff to go and 'check' up on him". She made air quotes with her hands. "And the staff came back and told me he wandered off into the woods towards a small cottage where a little bunny-hybrid was housed." She raised an eyebrow at you with a cheeky smile, making you give her one in return.

"I knew then my son had fallen in love. It honestly scared me a little. And it wasn't that you were a hybrid nor wolf... It was because that meant some poor creature was going to be stuck looking after him." You laughed hard at her last sentence making her join in. She was half right, even though he took on the nurturing role in your relationship, you were the nurse. He got hurt easily, especially when he and his brothers went hunting.

"I'll have to take you to my cottage sometimes." You gave her a warm smile.

"I'd love that." She replies. You kept your eyes on her for a moment more but the moment made the seconds seem a lot longer. Miss placing the knife you sliced the meat and your finger at the same time, cutting into the flesh lightly. You didn't feel it at first but when you looked down you noticed your pointer finger was bleeding heavily.

"Oh, Shi—" You stopped yourself from swearing, wrapping your left hand around your right wrist, bringing your hand up to show Seonghwa's mother as she quickly jumped to your aid.

"Oh no, darling. Hand on. Come here." She walked you to the sink running your finger under cool water. You watched her scramble around the kitchen looking in cupboards and draws.

"I'll be back. I'm going to go fetch the first aid kit. Just keep the cut under the water." And just like that, she walked fast down the hall, leaving you alone. You felt stupid, you should have been watching what you were doing but you were too busy reminiscing on the past.

"Bunny...." Seonghwa grumbled, rubbing his eyes. He waddled his way over to you, still infected my slumber. Finding his place behind you he nuzzles his face into your neck, kissing your skin lightly before whispering in your ear, "What are you doing." He didn't wait for an answer as his eyes seemed to have awoken fully when he spots the shallow flesh wound on the tip of your finger.

"What did you do!?" He jumped for your hand, pulling it out from the water to inspect the wound closer. You yelped, feeling his tight grip on your wrist.

"I cut it while cutting some of the meat up. An—" You pause feeling him tug your hand up even more so it's now level with his face as he stands up straight and given he is a lot taller than you it makes the position none less but awkward.

"Hey, your mother said to keep it under—" You felt your words leave your lips like a gasp of air was ripped from your lungs. His tongue runs over the wound, stinging it lightly, but it brings a slight tingle in your tummy. You watch in lap your cut up, feeling his saliva coat your finger. You bite your lip watching him, it was something sensual about the way his tongue curled around your finger. And the way he never let his eye drop from yours. They were glowing a low golden hue, his nose flared slightly.

"Oh, Seong I swear. You are supposed to be sleeping, but I guess.." Seonghwa's mother came in with a sigh seeing the display unfold. He finally pulled away, looking at his mother.

"Good morning to you as well." He spoke calmly like he didn't just suck your fucking finger. You looked confused, glancing down you see your wound was almost healed completely, no longer bleeding.

"W-what—Oh my dear... you still have so much to learn." She cut you off with a light laugh placing the first aid kit on the table while shaking her head with a smile.
