"Thanks a lot Shakespeare where's my Juliet?" Romeo and Juliet has ruined my life let me just say. I think it really set the bar for romance, like everyone always says "they're like Romeo and Juliet" it's like the romance story. But you know, Romeo literally kill's himself when he thinks Juliet is dead and then Juliet wakes up and kill's herself too. I don't wanna be anyone's Juliet. Shakespeare ruined everything. So thanks a lot Shakespeare.
"I always lose myself in words in which I'm not holding the pen" as a writer I take this lyric probably a little differently. I find myself getting annoyed by romance in all these stories, and I forget my dream is to become an author and I can write my own story without romance. I can't control other stories but I can control the ones I write, that's one of the reasons I wanted to be an author in the first place.
"Cause he gets the girl and I get paper cuts" I'm gonna be real honest, I thought the lyric was "he gets he girl and I get paid because" until I added the lyric video to this part. 😭 but I love papercuts a lot better idk why I thought it was paid because. Anyways this lyric is kinda beautiful and sad. Like everyone around me gets to have their person. And I want a person just not in a romantic way I guess but I'll never really happen that way. Or maybe it will who knows.
"I guess it's time to write my own personal version of love" like yes man! We don't need romance let's make our own version of love. Something that's special to us.
