So this is a song by Alec Benjamin and I'm gonna be talking specifically about the third part and a little bit another second.
The third verse is about his sister, literally says it in the song I think it goes "I wrote this verse for my sister even though sometimes we fight" or something. I don't know 😭
And a cute little thing editors do is edit sibling duos or sibling pairings with this part of the song whether it be blood siblings or found family siblings. You know. It's just cute.
BUT I remember seeing a romantic ship edit to this part of the song and I'm like bro like the whole second part of the song is about a romantic couple, use that part of the song not the one about a sibling bond.
Like it's so frustrating to me because the song literally as a verse for romance and they still had to use one that was for family/friendship. Like it says in the verse "sister" not lover. And it says like "and I'll be your brother and I'll hold your hand you should know I'll be there for you." And you're gonna do a romantic ship edit to that when you could use the same song with the same lyric but instead of brother it says lover which is what you want.
It's just something that like annoys me I guess.
