Omg. I just realized.
Wonka has (practically) no romance. None of the main characters fall in love really besides one dude who got back together with his ex wife at the very end up like we didn't even see the ex wife until the end credit clips and he wasn't really a main character more like supporting character. I don't even remember his name unfortunately 😭
This movie was actually so good and I was thinking about it just now and I realized there was literally no romance. Like barely an ounce.
The two main characters literally can not be shipped because one is a full grown adult (I think. I'm pretty sure. Yea I looked it up and it says he's supposed to be 22 in Wonka) and the other is a child. (14 years old)
No wonder I liked this movie so much. It was funny, entertaining, the music was good, and I didn't feel overwhelmed or pressured to ship anyone.
Anyways. Great movie. Loved it. My brother rented it on something idrk but it's coming out on hbo max like March 17 I think.
