Inseparable

Guess what. We're talking about another show that's not Julie and the Phantoms!! I know it's crazy, like who am I?

Anyways. There's this lovely show (not being sarcastic I actually love this show) called Alexa and Katie. It's about 2 best friends. Love it. Love their friendship I'm so jealous they live right next door and have a tree house between their rooms like Omg I want that.

ANYWAYS. I'm watching the show today and Alexa and Katie are figuring out their couple Halloween costumes because they always dress up together and Alexa's silly little boyfriend is like "well I thought we could dress up together in a couple costume because we're a couple" like sit the freak down sir, they're best friends and they are dressing up together. You have a best friend too Dylan, dress up with him.

And Dylan is like "you two are inseparable lately" like it's a bad thing?

And Alexa and Katie were talking about their costume, they're going as pb and j and how they're better together and their two parts of the best sandwich and I'm like "yes!! So cute" and they're like "but we can be separated if we needed" like playing into the fact that being inseparable is a bad thing?

And I kinda get it like "oh you two are spending all your time together" but that's exactly how I feel about romance/ships. They are inseparable.  And no one says that like it's a bad thing, but when best friends do it it is a bad thing?

Like also Alexa and Katie are literally the definition of best friends and they already planned to do a costumes like Dylan can suck it up and plus he's going to college soon anyways where as Katie is always gonna be there for Alexa. And she's known her longer than Dylan like just because he's her boyfriend doesn't mean they have to dress up together you know.

So yea I guess that's all I really have to say. I love Alexa and Katie though, it's a cute show I love how it focuses on their friendship.

(I might add more to this as I watch more of the show and think of more things to say)

See this is where it gets hard. Alexa told Dylan she'd be there for his mathletes competition. But then, she was helping Katie because this huge group came in at Wired (the coffee shop Katie works at) and they ordered 50 of the hardest and longest drinks to make so she was being a good best friend and helped her out but then after they finished she remembered she had to go to the math competition and when she got there it was over.

Reasonably Dylan is upset. She said she'd be there and she wasn't.

But on the other hand, she has a good reason, she was helping her best friend and lost track of the time.

Alex's tells Dylan this and Dylan said something like "once again I come in second to Katie" and I do feel so pain a little bit, because that how I feel in like the reverse. That friendships always come in second to romance. So I kinda like that the tables are turned and for once friendship is being put first especially since Katie really needed help, Dylan didn't need help he just wanted her to be there. And I get that it was important to him and her being their would show support, but he still won the competition. If Alexa didn't help Katie, she probably wouldn't have been able to make all those drinks especially with her stress (and at this point in time of the show undiagnosed anxiety)

Alexa says "it wasn't on purpose she's my best friend and needed my help" and Dylan goes "well I'm your boyfriend and these competitions are a big deal they're gonna help me get into college" but Alexa being there won't effect that for one and two he's going to college in California which is really far form wherever this show takes place. Idk I just know it's far.

So even though I kinda get how much it sucks to never be first choice, for once it's friendship that's being first choice and I can't tell of the show is making that out to be a bad thing or not. I don't know what the message of the show is trying to say but I kinda think Alexa was right to help Katie even though she missed the math competition.

I can't explain why I hate this. I just do.

Katie and Alexa were going to go as PB and J but after Dylan and Alexa got in their stupid fight, Katie (MVP best friend, she literally didn't have to do this but she's so selfless 🥺) gave her costume to Dylan so he could go as PB and didn't tell Alexa so she could surprise her and the show is making it seem like it's so cute and sweet and Katie said "Dylan wears it better" like no! 🥺🥺😭 no it was supposed to be Katie and Alexa.

Like I just don't know why but I hate it.

It makes it seem like the message is trying to say Alexa was in the wrong for putting Katie first or something I don't know. I just. I don't like it.

Like Katie is such a good friend. Which is why she's Alexa's PB.

Oooh. So I'm watching as I type this and Dylan goes "I hate how things went down" and Alexa goes "me too thanks for apologizing" and Dylan goes "I didn't apologize I didn't do anything wrong" which like o get he was hurt by what Alexa did, but HE SHOULD STILL apologize or at least try to understand how important Katie is to Alexa and understand her. Mind you Alexa already apologized for missing the competition too.

And like Alexa just said she's been spending so much time with Katie and less time with him is because he only talks about going away to college and he never talks about what that means for them.

So I guess I just really don't like Dylan or this episode.

They broke up too. Which I'm totally fine with.
