My semifinal battle was a real hoot! My opponent was tough, but I managed to win, thanks to Butterfree.
Cameron: I can't wait for the finals!
Pikachu agreed with excitement. She's really liking Pokémon battles.
After the announcement of the battle's outcome, it was time for the finals.
Commentator: Hello, ladies and gentlemen! We have experienced a ton of amazing battles throughout this tournament, and now it's time to give a hand for our finalists.
As both me and my opponent stepped out, both of us were given applause as we took our places.
Cameron: Pikachu, let's win this thing.
Pikachu jumped onto the field, ready for action.
Opponent: Go, Electabuzz!
Electabuzz roared as it dispersed electricity!
Cameron: Use Double Kick!
Opponent: Thunder Punch!
Both moves clashed in a tough struggle!
Pikachu knocked Electabuzz back by launching her second kick to its face.
Both: Quick Attack!
Pikachu and Electabuzz speedily charged toward each other!
Cameron: Use Headbutt!!
Pikachu put her head face down as she got close to Electabuzz.
Opponent: Use Thunder Punch!
Cameron: Dodge it!
Pikachu dodged the Thunder Punch and headbutted Electabuzz.
Electabuzz flinched!
Cameron: Use Thunderbolt!!
Pikachu zapped Electabuzz with everything it had!
Electabuzz was overwhelmed and collapsed!
Commentator: Cameron wins! Let's give this enigmatic Trainer a hand!
Everyone rejoiced at my victory! I was proud! I petted Pikachu very lovingly as we celebrated our win.
After I left the boat, the S.S Anne set sail. It was nighttime when I came out. As the ship sailed away from the harbor, Pikachu waved goodbye!
We headed back to the Pokémon Center. Elaine was fully rested as she waited by the door.
Elaine: Cameron! Hey! How was your adventure around Vermillion City?
Cameron: It was invigorating! I think I'm ready for my Gym battle.
Elaine: Let's go, then!
I'm super excited for this. That tournament gave me the drive I needed to battle!
