Chapter 121: A Friend's voice is Heard!

Tsubaki's pov

I couldn't help but feel so much anger when it came to trying to get Lucy back, she was betrayed by someone she trusted. For the first time in a long time, I genuinely felt scared that I was going to lose Lucy. That I would lose everything that I built with my guildmates, all because these idiotic people want to ruin everything and change people into mindless drones. This was nothing compared to what I felt back on Tenrou Island, which wasn't as bad as this. Ethan and Ezra both got me to think rationally after nearly losing all of my senses, which would have been the case if they weren't there. "Lucy!! Please!! You have to snap out of it!!" Natsu shouted, my green eyes shifted over to her. She was losing her mind, her eyes were a different color than usual and dulled over, the look on her face was blank and it deeply unsettled me. I have never seen a look like that in someone's eyes, especially Lucy's, whose brown eyes always shined bright. Just as I was about to go over to Lucy, hoping to wake her out of her stupor, that dude Midnight showed up.

"Oh great, look who showed up. It's the emo kid that always sleeps." I crossed my arms, my voice dripping with sarcasm as I glared at him. From the corner of my eye, I could see Natsu, Ezra, Elfman and Lucky sweatdrop at my comment. The first time we had come across him was years ago and he was sleeping, he was always sleeping. Back then, I had no run ins with him due to him always being asleep. Even the other members of the Oracion Seis used to get annoyed with him for always sleeping and hardly pitching in.

"Hey, I'm not emo! I just like dark colors and they look good on me! Don't be jealous I can rock this better than you probably can." I scoffed at his words, shaking my head.

"Whatever, Emo kid."

"It's Midnight! Get it right!" He snapped, but I only stuck my tongue at him in defiance. I was not about to give this guy the satisfaction of saying his name correctly.

"I'm sorry to say this, I mean, it's unfortunate for you and the rest of your friends but Lucy will be completely absorbed by the clock soon." Midnight explained, I growled in anger and clenched my fist as I looked down at him. This was not right, nor was it fair. It only pissed me off more that Imitatia had faked all affection for Lucy, so that she could carry out her part in their stupid plan.

"You can't do this!! It's not right! You're hurting innocent people for your stupid goal! You're using Lucy as some sort of game piece and it isn't right!" I snapped, holding back the urge to snap his back in half. I wanted to make him suffer and I wasn't about to hold back from that, not when they we're harming innocent people. "Hmm.. And what do you know of what is right and wrong?" Midnight questioned, making me growl in annoyance. I threw a large lightning fireball at him, but he dodged it. "Don't patronize me, Emo dude!!" I shouted, shaking my fist from anger.

He motioned for Imitatia to come after me, which was a mistake on his part. I looked over at Natsu, whose eyes met mine. I sent him a knowing look, telling him to focus on Lucy. I turned my attention back onto Imitatia, dodging one of her kicks. I slammed my fist into her side, sending her flying backward. She went sailing past Midnight, who looked somewhat shocked at the fact that I could land hits on her. Not waiting for her to come back, I attacked Midnight, who was managing to dodge every single kick and punch I threw at him. He waved his hand, creating a huge force to hit me. I felt the wind get knocked out of me, before being thrown back into one of the walls.

"You have to snap out of it, Imitatia! I know that you love Lucy! Shouldn't you also consider Lucy's feelings about staying together for eternity?" I could hear Natsu trying to get through to Imitatia, but Midnight interfered and it pissed me off. I hated how easily she could just take his word, he was only using her. I had a feeling that he was hiding something else, but I couldn't figure it out exactly. I pushed myself out of the rubble of the wall, grunting as I got to my feet. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Midnight hovering closely in the background while Imitatia was attacking Natsu. Ethan and Ezra both flanked her, trying to fend her off from Natsu. I charged at her, throwing several fireballs at her to throw her off. She dodged each one, managing to send some back at me which made me a bit pissed off. I let out a frustrated groan, narrowly dodging one of her attacks. I didn't notice that Midnight was sending an attack after me, since I had my attention on her. "Tsu!!" I was quickly tackled by Ethan, as the attack Midnight sent hit the wall behind us.
