Tolerance to Sickness

Everyone on the Octopod has different tolerance to sickness due to many factors.

One such factor is species. Some species naturally have stronger immune systems than others. For example, the Captain will take 2 or so days to recover from a flu that Kwazii would take 6 days to recover from due to the differences between their species.

The Captain used his insane tolerance of illness to take care of his "children" and "grandpa" when they were sick to make sure they get better soon.

Another factor? Peso figured out that the more family or the more friends someone had, they had higher tolerance to illness cos they're more used to catching bugs and colds from their family and friends.

Peso has a higher tolerance to illness than most everyone else (except the Captain) due to having such a large family, that at every reunion, at least one person spreads a cold or some other illness.

This has become very useful when he'd recover from an illness almost as fast as he bandages and he'll be back to being sweet little cinnamon roll medic so he could take care of everyone else. 

Dashi probably has the third highest tolerance from taking care of her little sisters all the time when they were sick, and she too will insist on helping Peso and the Captain take care of everyone once she recovers.

The people who have the worst tolerance have to be the Vegimals cos they're still little babies, and don't have the species benefits that Barnacles does. Whenever they get sick, Shellington ends up running into their room almost every 5 minutes or so to take care of his babies, and the Vegimals are super clingy when they're sick, and will beg "Daddy Shellydo" not to go, and he can't say no to their cute little faces, so he stays, and no surprise, within 3 days, he's sick too.

If the Vegimals get better before he does, they'll all happily waddle into his room bringing his favorite snacks, hot chocolate, soup, get well cards they made for him (They're too cute, and too sweet), and will sit by his bed for hours singing to him and trying to tuck him in when he gets tired, but realize that they're too small to drag the covers over him, so they only drag the covers half over him, kiss him goodnight, and sing until they think he's asleep, and Shellington is almost unable to breathe from the mix of cuteness and congestion.

The kids are probably the SECOND most susceptible to illness since... they're kids, their immune systems aren't too strong yet, but they're usually sick for less time than the Vegimals are cos Peso's more comfortable giving them stronger medicines, however much the kids hate them.

Peso will usually have to lure the kids out of a hiding place to get them to take medications and stroke their heads and reassure them that everythings alright.
