Some people on the Octopod seem like they are really tough (the Captain, Kwazii, Tweak), but they're surprisingly gentle with others smaller than them, and absolute softies.
When the kids wanted to test the Captain's strength, they asked him to punch through a board they were holding. He obviously refused. 1. Because the whole thing was a little ridiculous, and 2. He didn't want to hurt his "little ones" if he punched too hard.
The Captain loves all his babies and everything they do for him from the card reading "dada 2" on it that the Vegimals gave him to Peso giving him a cuddle and kiss every single morning when he first sees him.
Kwazii looks tough and thinks he's a "tough guy" but he's probably the biggest softie ever. When they were docked up once, Tweak took all the kids out, and they convinced her to let them use their allowance to buy Kwazii 2 donuts (they don't get that much money and donuts were expensive). When they gave the donuts to him, he nearly cried at how nice his "lil mateys" were, and insisted on splitting two donuts six ways so all the kids, Tweak, and he could have some.
Kwazii's probably the sweetest big brother on planet Earth. Once when Jane and Pinto were messing around with a baseball in Dashi's room, and they accidentally broke one of her cameras. Kwazii brought it down to Tweak to them, and said that he broke it to protect them.
Tweak can change her mood for people in less than 5 seconds. One second she's screaming at Kwazii for running face-first into a Gup and denting it, and the next she's giving Dashi a cuddle after Dashi came into the Launch Bay wanting one.
Tweak can look scary cos she's tall and pretty muscular, but she's the sweetest "big sister" ever to everyone on the Octopod. She's always willing to give anyone a cuddle, and she finds children the absolute cutest things in the world.
When the kids wander into the kitchen in the morning still barely awake, Tweak will pull them into her lap, tickle them, and go , "Good morning sleepyhead! Did ya sleep well?"
Tweak has made a bunch of tiny helmets for the baby Vegimals because they wanted to help her so badly bit she was afraid they'd get hurt
