The Logbook Pt. 2

Solidarity

Everyone on the Octopod will always stand by their friends no matter what and will go out of their way to show their friends how much they love them.

When the Captain took all his babies to an amusement park, Tweak wanted to take Dashi on all the tallest, scariest rides, and Dashi saw how excited Tweak was and didn't want to disappoint her, so she decided to go on with Tweak, but after the first ride when she nearly had a panic attack, Tweak refused to take her on anymore of the big rides and was perfectly happy to ride all the baby rides with her, Peso, Kwazii (who Peso convinced to come along), and the baby Vegimals cos she got to share it with her friends.

Whenever they go out to eat, there's always one thing Shellington really wants but can't have so he's allergic. No one dares to order it and eat it cos they don't want to make him sad, so they'll all order something else, and once they get back, Peso asked the Vegimals to make an imitation of the food that Shellington wanted but was allergic to. The babies are only too happy to do something for "Daddy Shellydo" and even drew him a smiley face and a heart with the food.

When the baby Vegimals need a shot or a haircut, Shellington always insists on doing it along with them to show his babies that there's nothing to fear, and gives them all a big hug and kiss after they do it cos "he's so proud of them for being brave!"

If one of his 'children' has a problem, the Captain will try to help them out as best as he can, and if anyone refused to let one of his crew do anything for whatever unfair reason, he'll refuse to do it as well because they wouldn't let his little one do it.

Once when Koshi wanted to make a statement on gender norms and stereotypes, she cut her hair short and borrowed some of Tweak's boy clothes. Squirt agreed with every word she said, so he let Dashi put David Bowie makeup on him and wore some more feminine clothes. 

When Pinto got diagnosed with ADHD, he ran to Jane going, "Guess what Saumensch? I have it too!" And Jane proceeded to explain to him why having ADHD was a bad thing but he was too busy going, "We're twins! Yay!" to care. He was too happy about being "twins" with the girl he wished was his second older sister and being an innocent smol bean to realize that ADHD was a bad thing.

Peso had been laughed at for being a bit feminine before, and after Kwazii caught some other penguins making fun of him, he first clawed them all to pieces, then he put on a red Peggy Schuyler dress from Hamilton (If you can name the character, you get a free Vegimal hug) and held Peso's flipper when they went out together so Peso wouldn't feel so alone and scared. (Peso still ended up hiding behind Kwazii for a good portion of the trip)
