Why They Love Children

All the adults have overheard some silly thing one of the kids or the Vegimals said (kids say the darndest things, right?) and the adults have found something one of the kids said absolutely hilarious and when they're somewhere the kids can't hear them, they'll secretly tell another one of the adults what one of the kids told them and they'll laugh about it.

When Inkling once overheard Squirt explain how to shelve books to Koshi, Koshi teased him by telling him, "Squirt, I've been shelving books since you were in diapers, or whatever you wore as a baby. Do baby octopi wear diapers anyway?" and Squirt was like, "I dunno, I'll ask Shellington." And when Inkling told Shellington this story a little later, Shellington thought it was hilarious.

Once when Tweak told Dashi that if she spent anymore time with Kwazii, her head was going to explode, so all the baby Vegimals made it their life's goal to keep Tweak and Kwazii as far apart as they physically could. When Tweak asked all the Vegimals why they decided to cut off blood flow to her legs, all the cuties, with Shellington's help, told her that they didn't want her to see Kwazii if he was going to make her head explode.

Tweak finds the kids absolutely adorable whenever they come down to her room for a night and insist they WATCH her play video games instead of playing with her solely because they want to lay in her lap and cuddle her.

All the kids and the Vegimals idolize at least one of the adults, and that adult finds it the most adorable thing in the whole world when a tiny little thing follows them around and is completely in awe of their "coolness" and Kwazii especially loves being told how cool he is.

Children are so clueless at times and the adults love it, such as when Pinto asked Peso why Kwazii ran away screaming from him and Shellington dropped a beaker filled with one of his chemicals when he asked them where babies come from.

When Inkling asked Pinto to clean up the pirate toys in the library and Pinto ignored him, he asked Pinto, "Do you understand me?" and Pinto looked up from the tablet for five seconds and went, "mmm, not really."

Once Tweak overheard the two younger kids telling each other how they thought babies were made such as the only penguin in the world who can fly drops babies down to all the parents who want them and if two people were to hold hands and kiss, they'll make a baby. Now Tweak never wants them to find out the real way babies are made.
