Routine Issues

Although there is routine on the Octopod, issues arise cos this is the Octopod and the Octopod is crazy.

There's all the normal stuff like eating dinner late cos of a mission and starting work a little late cos they slept in, but then...

Don't let the kids, Vegimals, or Kwazii have too much sugar. The last time anyone broke this rule, it ended in a completely trashed Octopod and a 3 AM bedtime.

Tweak found a way to use sugar to her advantage. She figured out that if she gave the kids sugar sometime around 4-6 PM, then they'd sugar crash at a very convenient hour, and she'd get them to bed way earlier than usual.

Usually, the Vegimals will go to bed when "Daddy Shellydo" asks them to cos they love him so much. He loves them too, and whenever he asks them to go to bed, they cuties only nod and start giving him goodnight kisses and cuddles.

When the Captain tries to put Kwazii to bed however... it's quite a show. It usually involves the Captain chasing a screaming orange cat around the Octopod while Tweak tries to cut him off and trap him, and it's very funny.

The kids are probably about as bad as Kwazii is. Bedtime often takes about 2 hours cos the kids were hiding in the Garden Pod to avoid going to bed.

The chaos works to the Captain's advantage once every now and then when he just wants to give one of his babies cuddles, so they can cuddle in peace while everyone else is occupied chasing Kwazii around the Octopod.

Tweak and Dashi use it to their advantage too when they have a movie night and may or may not have made some poor soul put Dashi's little sisters to bed.

Getting everyone up is almost equally as difficult. Usually, the Captain and Peso are the only ones who are able to wake everyone up successfully.

The Captain usually tries to wake his babies up as gently as he can by rubbing their backs in circles and giving them a tiny little shake and very quietly asking them to get up.

Peso always wakes people up with beak nuzzles, cuddles, and a sweet little , "good morning, time to get up."
