The Logbook Pt. 2

Never Growing Up

Some people on the Octopod seem like can never grow up, no matter how old they get.

Kwazii. That's all I need to say. Kwazii has never matured past the age of 7 and now is a grown man but still finds potty humor and dad jokes the funniest things on this planet.  The good part of him being 7 years old in spirit is that all the kids, Vegimals, and Peso simply adore him and he absolutely adores them.

He's always willing to play with his "lil mateys" He likes playing with the Vegimals, Peso, and the kids for different reasons.

He likes playing with the Vegimals and Peso because babies and because they love him to pieces and think he's the bestest pirate in the universe. However, they have made him wear fairy wings to play "Princess Tea Party" a few times.

With the kids, there's no risk of "Princess Tea Party" but they all love to torture him and tease him for fun and the three older kids have never believed a single word of his monster stories.

Peso and Dashi both love stuffed animals, soft things, onesies, and all that stuff, and they refuse to give it up. Ever. Every night, Dashi and Peso cuddle with one of their stuffed animals to go to sleep and spend their free time to play with them and Dashi's even gotten Tweak to play with them and Tweak couldn't refuse cos she loved her bestie too much.

The Vegimals shall always stay babies for eternity. Change my mind I dare you. All the cuties will love Daddy Shellydo for life and they all love their "family" with all the love in their teensy little bodies. The babies will always love playing with Shellington and giving him cuddles and sitting in his lap.

The kids didn't exactly "grow up" once they turned 18.

Koshi shamelessly reads children's books and writes about them as a grown woman because she can and because children's books make her happy.

She's also guilty of eating Pop Tarts with chips and applesauce for dinner as a successful author who should be going out for fancy dinners and talking over books with other authors because she wasn't in the mood for people and she wanted comfort food.

Squirt never lost his habit of hiding behind people when he got scared and shooting ink. It's gotten bette than it had been before but he still can't kick the habit completely.

When Jane and Pinto were adults, they still weren't too mature about romantic relationships. When Koshi first brought her boyfriend to the Octopod to meet her "family", Squirt kept clearing his throat extremely loudly every time Koshi's boyfriend touched her, and Pinto and Kwazii kept giving him the stink-eye and making the "I'm gonna kill you" motion at him.

Oh, and Jane and Pinto proceeded to give him the worst relationship advice of his life such as "Tell her she looks fat every morning", "Leave your dirty clothes all over the floor. She'll love that!" and "Saumensch means "Darling" in Swabian German".
