No Promises

Promises are sometimes kept on the Octopod, sometimes not. Most of the time, no one on the Octopod makes ANY promises.

Whenever Peso makes the Captain promise not to try and do his job while he's sick, the Captain always promises, but three minutes later, Peso catches him doing the laundry, and very politely gets Kwazii, and both of them gently nudge the Captain back to bed, claiming, "Captain, you're sick. Now's not the time to work."

Peso will just sit with him and hold the Captain's head in his lap, all the other crew emmebers will pop in occasionalyl to check on the Captain and help him. When the Captain tries to protest, Peso only says, "You take care of all of us so much, so now let us take care of you."

Now, the most trustworthy person to keep any promise on the Octopod is Inkling, most of the time. He's told the kids that they'll have homework on a certain day that's about a week away, but unlike Shellington, he never forgets, and the kids ALWAYS get homework that day. But also, whenever Squirt asks him for some time alone to talk and have tea, Inkling will never ever cancel on him, and will always be there.

Whenever Kwazii takes the Gup-B out, Tweak will always yell at him, "DO NOT crash it again!" And Kwazii will always answer with, "No promises, matey!" Tweak will roll her eyes, and get out her tools to fix the Gup, knowing he'll crash.

When Jane went to Vidcon, the Youtube Convention, as a featured creator when she grew up and became a storytime animator and Koshi went to an author's convention where she met the author of the Donna Doxi series, they became best buddies, and Koshi invited them to go to Vidcon with her to see Jane perfom. Unbeknownst to her, Koshi witnessed a whole part of the show dedicated to roasting her after Jane specifically promised her she WOULDN'T roast her.
