Resemblances to Their Parents

Everyone on the Octopod resembles one of their parents quite a lot, and is quite a lot like one of their parents, to the point that people who know their parents call them a mini version of their parent.

The Captain took the liberty of getting to know all his crew's parents cos he wanted to get their permission to be "daddy" to their kids (he's met all of them and none of them said no), and he wanted to meet the people who made all his beautiful "children" and congratulate them on raising the people who've his life the happiest it could be.

The Captain reminded his mother a lot of his father even as a cub. He was as tall, strong, and noble-looking as his father, and carried himself in the same way.

Kwazii was the spitting image of his father with orange fur, shorter stature, and almond-shaped eyes, but he had his mother's freckles, kind eyes, and her adventurous (and soft) nature. The "other parts" of Kwazii (the absolutely crazy monster stories and wherever a "strawberry flavored lake came from)... no one knew where they came from.

 Peso grew to be like his "Mami" and his sister Pinata, short and a little bit pudgy with the sweetest, most loving, protective nature ever while Pinto and Pogo looked more like their father, tall with hair that grew in all directions, but all 4 of them were loving and a bit overprotective over the ones they love (such as Kwazii being forced to wear a bike helmet on missions cos of the number of times he managed to injure himself)

Shellington resembled his father in both nature and looks. He and his father were both lanky with warm brown eyes and hair that fell over their eyes. They were also both extremely awkward, shy, and had strong fatherly instincts (as demonstrated by Shellington and the baby Vegimals)

 Dashi and Koshi both resembled their father more while Jane looked more like their mother, but all three girls looked extremely alike. Dashi and Koshi inherited their mother's levelheadedness while Jane was a lot more like her Uncle Mike in terms of personality (the reason he always had court cases is the almost exact same reason Jane ended up in timeout a lot but on different scales) All three inherited their mother's no-nonsense attitude with boys.

Inkling resembled his mother, but was more kindly like his father and studious like both his parents. He inherited lecture mode from his mother, and Squirt "really thanks his grandmother for it, cos he can't live without his uncle's lectures!"/s.

Squirt, like his mother, always had a great deal of anxiety, and was prone to wetting the bed with ink cos he had night terrors. His mother was Inkling's younger sister, so Inkling had experience with this, and always knew how to calm Squirt down and get him cleaned.

Tweak inherited her father's green fur and long ears, but in her father's eyes, she was a carbon copy of her mother, bold, strong-willed, soft (even if she won't admit it), and a bit sassy.

She was like her father in the way that she was kind, loyal, caring, and protective over the ones she loved.
