The Logbook Pt. 2

Things They Always Put Off

Some people on the Octopod have things they probably SHOULD be doing but never do because they're too lazy to do it or it's something no one in the history of the universe ever wants to do.

For example, the Captain knows he should probably eat something and go to sleep when it's midnight and he's been working for hours but he doesn't because he has work to get done and he was afraid of disturbing his "children" if he were to go and get something to eat. (Really, he's afraid of Tweak when she finds out he hasn't been eating or sleeping well).

The kids put off their homework as late as their guardians allow them or 5 minutes until it's due. Usually, the kids will end up either copying off of each other or just writing in the first thing they can think of for whatever question they were given.

Shellington loves putting off cleaning the lab so he can do even more science experiments. Usually, the Vegimals will wander in, give "Shellydo" a kiss, and begin cleaning up the lab for him and leaving a plate of kelp cakes and a picture they drew that day for him because they 'wuv' him so much.

Koshi loves putting off every social obligation she has simply so she can read Donna Doxi in peace for however long she wants. Dashi has tried to get her younger sister to socialize more, but it usually ended in Koshi finding some way to get out of it. Dashi has made some progress though. Koshi now (mostly) talks to people outside of her sisters and Squirt. 

Tweak loves putting off work and everything she has to do (such as sleep) to hang out with Dashi because Dashi's her best friend in the whole entire world. When Dashi finds out Tweak hasn't been sleeping. Tweak will be threatened with a makeover if she doesn't, and when she does give in and lies down, Dashi rewards her with a goodnight kiss and tells her, "Sweet dreams, Tweaky, I love you."
