Hated Songs

However much everyone on the Octopod love each other, they sometimes can't stand each others' music.

For example, Inkling started out mildly disliking Hamilton songs cos the musical was "historically inaccurate", but after hearing the kids play and sing them on repeat, he could not stand them at all.

His least favorite has to be "Satisfied." cos of the sheer amount of times the kids sing it. He even made a rule that if you sing the song, you might write an analysis of each and every line of the song.

However, this didn't work, and all the kids only switched to singing The Room Where it Happens instead, which will get stuck in anyone's head. Cos of the kids, now Inkling will be subconsciously humming Hamilton songs and won't even realize it until someone tells him.

Inkling listens to a wide variety of music, but it's all really old. He'll listen to opera and Beatles, which makes EVERYONE who's below 30 start complaining (except Peso cos he's too polite and sweet to hate any music)

In fact, Inkling made the discovery that opera music acts as a child repellent. Whenever he puts on opera music when the kids are in the library, they will leave as quickly as they can, which is why he stopped putting it on so much.

He can get annoyed by the kids sometimes, but he loves them, and enjoys having them in the library for company.

Another genre that works as child repellent: any girly pop Dashi likes.

Whenever she plays it, her sisters will either leave the room or beg her to stop playing it.

If anyone plays music for Peso that isn't too popular on the Octopod, he'll only say, "What a lovely tune!" or, "It's so melodic, you've got great taste!" He physically cannot say anything bad about the music cos he doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

Kwazii hates accordion music in general, not just the Captain's but any music played by an accordion ever, so now Tweak will play accordion music in the Launch Bay whenever she doesn't want Kwazii in there.

The same goes with bagpipes. In fact, Tweak even has a whole Spotify playlist called "Kwazii Repellent" that she plays whenever she's busy and doesn't want Kwazii anywhere near the Launch Bay.
