All of the adults on the Octopod have a parental instinct towards those younger than them, and they'll always listen to this instinct and take care of their "little ones".
Dashi and Tweak are still suckers for small, cute things, which annoys the kids to no end.
They have even made all the kids mini versions of some uniforms from Hamilton. Tweak thought the kids had looked so cute in their little kids uniforms, and had cooed over their little outfits with Dashi over the weekend.
When one of the kids need cuddles, Tweak's always willing to give them one. When there is a kid in her arms and someone approached her, she'll instinctively hold them a little closer than usual and shield them from whoever it is.
When the Captain sees anyone having some trouble, it doesn't matter who, he'll instantly drop everything in his paws and run to help.
The Captain's daddy senses go off anytime one of his babies need protection or shelter. He'll almost instinctively shield Peso from whatever loud noise someone made 3 minutes ago, and make 6 trips to and from the coral reef they were studying at so he could put some of his crew members to bed earlier.
Whenever Shellington walks into a room where his babies are, all of the Vegimals will immediately rush to him and give him big, warm hugs, and the sweetest little kisses ever cos they missed their daddy, even if he had left to use the bathroom for 5 minutes.
Shellington had learned how to be a daddy in under a week, and can now feed a baby, change diapers, and even dance ballet (Tomminow really likes ballet, and Shellington didn't have to heart to tell her no)
Every single time Kwazii takes Peso out with him, although Kwazii would never ever admit it, Kwazii looks out for dangerous areas that might have "monsters" and allows Peso to hide behind him while they go explore.
