The Logbook Pt. 2

Being There

Everyone on the Octopod will always be there for each other when they need it.

If Peso was ever sad or scared of anything, Kwazii would be by his "little matey's" side in an instant and console Peso that he'd be alright, and there was nothing to be afraid of and Kwazii would protect him at all costs.

Peso would always do the same for Kwazii, and whenever Kwazii was disappointed about not being able to find treasure or a monster, or whatever Kwazii wanted to find, Peso would give him precious little hugs and tell him, "Don't be sad. You'll have better luck next time."

Whenever Dashi needed a break but kept insisting she was fine, Tweak would do some of her chores for her, and take her little sisters for a while. Tweak figured out that the only was to get Dashi to stop working so late was to tell the Captain what she was doing, and the Captain would go down to the HQ, scoop Dashi up in his arms, and carry her to her room and hold her in his arms until she agrees to take a break.

When Tweak was sad because she ran out of carrots, Dashi went out of her way to try and find some carrots and carrot seeds for Tweak at the nearest coast and bring them aboard the Octopod for her only after she finished giving Tweak "feel better cuddles".

The Vegimals always go up to the crew randomly and hug their legs, ask for uppies, and stay with them for the entire day because they want to be "big and strong and smart" like that person. Whoever they do this to, the person will always tell them, "But to me, you're already big and strong and smart." And the little baby's face lights up in pure joy, and they'll give you a big hug and kiss and nuzzle you for the rest of the day.

Pinto has a toxic relationship with any type of horror movie, he loves watching them, but they give him nightmares for days afterwards, even the little kid ones that aren't even scary. When he has nightmares because of these movies, he doesn't want to wake Peso, so he wakes Jane and she'll always take him to a spare bedroom and they'll stay there, just the two of them, and Jane will try to comfort her "baby brother" back to sleep, and even when her arm's numb from holding him and he's drooled all over her, she still thinks it's all worth it.

The next morning, Jane will sleep in a little later cos Pinto kept her up for a good portion of the night, and Pinto will understand, and leave the room as quietly as he can after kissing the top of her head and whispering , "Gracias, Saumensch. Schlaf gut."to her.
