The Logbook Pt. 2

Imitating Each Other

Everyone on the Octopod, especially the younger ones, copy each other from time to time for whatever intelligent reason they have.

Whenever Kwazii's in a setting where he's expected to act like a grown man and not use his spoon to try and nail Tweak in the face with mashed potatoes, he watches the Captain and tries to copy everything he does which has lead to Kwazii nearly choking himself with a tie cos he tied it a little too tight and the Captain broke the tie out of fear for his "son"'s life.

Shellington has tried to copy everything everyone does in a social situation which has led to him spilling drinks on himself, dropping his stuff in food, tripping over everything in sight, accidentally falling over someone, etc. Peso reassures him that he doesn't need to copy anyone because he's just perfect as "Shellington".

The baby Vegimals have tried to copy everything the Octonauts do because the Octonauts are the coolest people in the whole wide world and they love them all so much. This has led to the cuties playing in the lab cos they wanted to be "smart like Daddy Shellydo," or wearing a monocle like Professor Inkling cos the cuties think it looks cool. 

The kids sometimes like to copy what the adults do from time to time whether it's to mock them or just because.

Because the two younger kids spend large amounts of time with Kwazii and Tweak, they've picked up certain... things from them. (The incessant fighting over stupid things) but one morning, Dashi and Peso found something the kids were saying to each other the most adorable and hilarious thing either of them had heard probably since they'd heard Tweak and Kwazii say it to each other previously, but it was 10 times cuter on the kids and it went something like this.

Jane: "I'm not paid enough to put up with you." (They're not actually paying her, she only heard Tweak say it)

Pinto: *shakes sweet little head* (sighs) "Women."(Not meant to be sexist, he's saying this simply cos he heard Kwazii (The almighty, coolest pirate in the world who can do no wrong in his eyes) say it.)
