"Adopting" Each Other

Everyone on the Octopod practically "adopted" everyone else as their sibling, parent, child, grandpa, grandchild, etc.

Peso used to be afraid of the Captain at first, but after Peso realized how the Captain was the sweetest, fluffiest person ever, and immediately decided the Captain would be "daddy".

Now, the Captain tucks Peso into bed almost every night, cuddles him whenever he's scared, and rocks him in his big, warm, fluffy arms whenever Peso just needs a hug.

Inkling adopted the kids as his "grandchildren" after babysitting them for a while. He wasn't even ashamed he went from being a college professor to being a babysitter. He loves the kids so much. Even though Koshi and Squirt are still his favorites, whenever the two younger kids fight each other with fake lightsabers or throw books at each other, or scream the lyrics to Hamilton or Encanto, he can't be mad.

He'll only nicely ask them to stop and take the books/lightsabers away from them and give them something else to do.

Everyone adopted the baby Vegimals as their little baby brother/sisters at first sight, and they'll protect the babies from anything they're afraid of at all costs.

The Vegimals adopted "Shellydo" as their "daddy" and the Captain as "daddy number 2" while veryone else was their big sister/big brother or grandpa in Inkling's case. The Vegimals love them with all their hearts, and during a storm,  if one of the baby Vegimals runs into your room and asks you to stay in your bed for the night, you CANNOT say no. 

Tweak practically adopted Dashi and her two little sisters as her own baby sisters. She'll always let Dashi confide in her since it's a big responsibility to look after two little girls, and whenever Kwazii wants to take Jane out with him for anything, she'll warn him every single time, "You scratch either her or the Gup, I will beat you into oblivion!"

Nothing hurts the kids on Kwazii's and Tweak's watch. NOTHING.
