The Logbook Pt. 2

Alarms

Alarms are a common everyday occurrence on the Octopod at this point.

The Octo-Alert is sounded like 7 times every day. The Captain ends up having to sound the Octo-Alert (or has someone else sound it for him) at least twice a day due to emergencies, and the remaining 5 times are cos Tweak threw a heavy metal tool at Kwazii, it missed and she hit the Octo-Alert instead , Shellington accidentally leaned on it, fell asleep on it, sat on it, set a book on it by mistake, etc., Pete was playing with the Octo-Watch again, this is the Octopod, the possibilities are endless.

Peso still gets a little startled by the loud noise that the Octopod's weather alarm makes, and will hide behind the closest person he sees, and they'll give him a hug and assure he's alright.

When Tweak went to the store for some new carrot air fresheners, she found this one soft little rainbow soda can she thought she could use as a plushie for Dashi, Peso and their little siblings. It was a baby toy for puppies and kittens, and the second she squeezed it to see if it was soft, it scared her so much when it squeaked.

Inkling has once freaked out when he thought he lost his monocle (he was wearing it) and asked the kids where it was. They didn't know whether or not they should answer him truthfully.

The baby Vegimals are always alarmed at loud sudden noises. Whenever there's a thunderstorm, all the cuties will immediately run to "Daddy Shellydo" and hide behind him and in his arms cos they love him so much. Shellington tried to comfort them to the best of his abilities, and even tried to explain to them how thunder happened, but the cuties were too scared to listen.

The Captain's alarm clock is LOUD, so loud in fact that whenever one of his babies are sleeping in his room with him, he'll go to the trouble of waking up about 15 minutes before his alarm goes off and either shut it off and give his baby a kiss on the forehead, or if he's been taken prisoner by his baby's cuddles, he'll wriggle his arms out of their hug and put them over his "child's" ears cos he doesn't want his baby to wake up.

Kwazii complains about the Captain's alarm clock all the time, but Tweak always tells him, "Ya think the alarm clock's loud? Have ya ever heard yourself?"

Alarm clocks have never worked for Tweak. She doesn't know why, but they just don't work for her, so she asked Dashi to come wake her up in the morning if she doesn't get up on time, and allowed Dashi to wake her up using any means necessary.

Every morning, Dashi goes down to the Launch Bay and starts patting Tweak on the back and rubbing her back in circles, trying to get her to wake up. When she doesn't, Dashi starts to give her sweet little kisses on the forehead and if Tweak still isn't awake, Dashi pulls the blanket back over Tweak's feet and tickles her feet until she gets out of bed.
