Confiding In Each Other

On the Octopod, everyone is able to tell at least one other person about anything, and this other person will always listen to them and will try to make them feel better in any way they can.

For example, when Peso waddled into the Captain's room in the middle of the night and confessed he had a nightmare, the Captain immediately let Peso get into bed beside him and gave him hugs and kisses and insisted Peso tell him all about it.

The baby Vegimals always go up to "Daddy Shellydo,"and start jumping around his knees to tell him all about the day that they had. Of course Shellington can never resist the cuties, so he'll always play along with whatever they want like, "Ooh, what a pretty shell you found."
"Wow, you found a starfish, how fascinating, clever boy!"

Dashi and Tweak often confide in each other. Whenever either of them need to tell the other anything, the other will sit beside them, let them lay their head on their shoulder, and gives them kisses while asking them to tell what's wrong.

Dashi and Tweak tell each other everything, and whenever one of them is upset about anything, the other will try to organize a special treat for them.

For example, when Dashi came to Tweak totally burned out from work, Tweak got a bunch of nail polish and agreed to let Dashi paint her nails, and when Tweak was boiling mad at Kwazii over a broken Gup B, Dashi went to the Kitchen and made Tweak all her favorite carrot treats to try and make her feel a little better.

Another strategy they use to help each other feel better: movie nights. Just the two of them.

The kids confide in each other a lot of the time, and none of them have ever told an adult anything. Even once they grew up and their secrets got heavier.

In fact, Pinto actually told Jane about his decision about going to Medical School even before he told Peso and Jane came out to Pinto even before coming out to her sisters.

All the kids have always promised each other never to tell any of their secrets, and none of them ever have cos they love each other too much to spill someone's secret.
