Being Sick

A/N- This actually is my situation right now. I'm sick.

Being sick on the Octopod is actually partially desirable. Peso's the sweetest, fluffiest medic ever and will do anything to make you happy while you're sick, the Vegimals will sing and bring you too many treats, and Captain Daddy will come by every 5 minutes to check on you and keep you company.

The second Peso hears that someone's sick, he'll immediately (very politely) request the Captain carry them down to the Sick Bay, and he'll spend every second he can with them, either obsessively taking their temperature, insisting they eat or drink something "healthy",  make them take a nap, sing them lullabies, and will let them do a puzzle with him to make them happy cos he doesn't want to see them sad.

Once the baby Vegimals realizes someone's sick, there's no way to stop their sweetness. They will burst into the Sick Bay and run to the poor sick person's bed with plates loaded down with freshly bakes treats and warm soup. The only way Peso can keep them from going overboard with sweetness is when he tells them, "Shhh, they're sleeping." In that case, they'll all crowd  around your bed, give you soft little kisses and a "Sweet dreams!" They'll be back when you're awake with more treats and kisses, don't worry.

The Captain will be Daddy to all his "children" and Inkling when they're sick. He'll carry them to Peso, come by every five minutes to see how you're doing, stay with you to play a game to keep you company, play his accordion and/or sing for you, kiss you goodnight, stroke your head and sing a lullaby when Peso wants you to take a nap, and will tuck you in, kiss you goodnight and wish you sweet dreams when he thinks you're asleep.

When Peso, the Vegimals, or the Captain is sick, everyone will crowd around them and do anything in their power to keep them happy and comfortable, and try to make them feel better in any way they can.

Once Kwazii or Tweak get sick, you'd assume the other would be pretty happy about it, but they aren't. They'll practically camp outside the Sick Bay to make the other's OK.

Pluses of being sick for the kids: It's the one time Inkling won't give them homework. In fact, once Inkling's done with all the classes for the day, he'll go to the kid and read them a story to make them feel better.

The one downside of being sick on the Octopod? There are so many of them in one space that if one person was to get sick on the Octopod, it wouldn't take long for everyone to get sick later.
