Spice and Sour Tolerance

People on the Octopod have different levels of tolerance to spicy food and sour food. Some could almost survive a Carolina Reaper and some can't even eat black pepper.

Peso is from South America (In my opinion), and has eaten his share of spicy food, but it isn't his thing. He can stand spicy food, but he just doesn't like it.

He likes sour candy, but he has a limit to how sour the candy can be. Whenever they eat sour candy together, Kwazii will always try to give Peso the LEAST sour piece of candy he can find cos he doesn't want his baby brother to eat something too sour for him.

The Captain cannot eat spicy food at all. It takes one bite for him to start sweating and he's nearly overheated several times, so Peso takes him to the Sick Bay and cools him down as best as he can. Once Peso is sure his "Daddy" is fine, Peso will let go of the Captain, and allow him to walk himself out of the Sick Bay.

The Captain is equally hopeless with sour foods. He thinks Sour Patch Kids and those Sour Punch straw thingies are sour.

He doesn't care that he has such bad tolerance to sour foods, he's just so happy that some of his "children" are better than he is.

Kwazii loves spicy food. Loves it. If there is spicy food nearby, Kwazii will want to try it. He's even tried a ghost pepper (and nearly died in the process) Peso freaked out and insisted he come to the Sick Bay to make sure the pepper wasn't too much for him. Peso ended up spoon-feeding Kwazii a bowl of ice cream and rubbing his tummy "all-better" to prevent digestive issues.

When it comes to sour food, Kwazii is a beast. He's eaten a whole lemon without making a face,

Kwazii and Tweak have had too many fights over who can eat the most spicy food without needing milk or eat the most sour foods without making a face.

Tweak's father would often cook her spicy Cajun food for fun, so she was used to spice. She wasn't too good with sour foods, so Kwazii always beat her on not making a face.

Shellington doesn't allow the baby Vegimals to have anything too sour or too spicy out of fear that his little babies can't handle it. The Vegimals ended up being cheerleaders during Kwazii and Tweak's spicy/sour food competitions anyways.

As for Shellington, he has a capsaicin (chemical that makes food spicy) allergy, so he is medically prohibited from eating spicy food, as for sour food, he's OK. He can handle more than the Captain can, but not too much.

Dashi can handle more spice than Kwazii expected her to handle, to put it lightly. As for sour food, let's just say, someone can handle about as much as an infant of their species.
