On the Octopod, no one's views can align perfectly, and some (Kwazii and Tweak) will butt heads over it.
For example, cos Tweak knows she sucks at biology, she asked the kids to teach her cos she was too embarrassed. When she presented her "theory" to Shellington that Kwazii's brain was an abiotic factor (non-living thing) with the evidence "there's nothing happenin' in there, it's dead." Shellington of course argued, and the kids have no idea what position to take on this argument. I mean, Tweak was not WRONG, but Shellington's sciency thing said different.
Peso will very very VERY (Add about 100000 more verys) politely disagree with Pinto over whether or not Pinto should do it, and will very very very (repeat here) politely ask him to do it and gently explain why Pinto has to while giving him a fluffy warm hug and stroking his head.
Koshi and Jane have disagreed every single day on who was an a-head until Dashi burst into the room and very calmly asked them to stop calling each other names and be nice to each other. Obviously, it never works.
Squirt will constantly fight with Inkling over stuff like homework and rules, etc. Squirt always tries not to ask Inkling for stuff without his friends telling him how (to avoid another one of "those" lectures) And will calmly try to avoid pushing his uncle's "start talking" button.
The Vegimals refuse to disagree. They'll just agree with you on whatever to make you happy and give you a big hug cos "Your idea's so good! You're so smart!"
Whenever the Captain disagrees with anyone, he'll insist on a compromise (meaning giving you most of what you want and keeping too little of what he wants to make sure his "child" is happy). Everyone refuses to let this happen and will insist on a compromise that he'd get a lot out of too.
