Promises They'll Always Keep

Everyone on the Octopod has made a promise to someone that they intend to keep for as long as they live.

The first night Dashi fell asleep in Tweak's lap, Tweak silently promised her bestie that she'd protect and love her for the rest of their lives no matter what as she tucked her into bed.

The Captain has promised his crew without them knowing that on his honor as Captain, he'd never let any harm come to any of them and would take a bullet for each and every one of them.

Oh, Kwazii has once promised Tweak that he'd annoy her forever and ever (and ever and ever and eveeeeer). Kwazii has failed to break that promise, and Tweak has never broken her promise that he'd always regret annoying her. Kwazii had no idea how Tweak made a gag out of an eyepatch for him when he was singing Baby Shark over and over and over, but she did.

The baby Vegimals have hugged everyone around the ankles and have told them very cutely, "I pwomise I'll always give you hugs because I love you." Staying alive without dying from cuteness is impossible after that even if the Vegimals do tell them that every day.

Ever since Peso first held his baby brother, he's always promised Pinto that he'll do everything in his power to make sure his baby brother's happy, and that includes an hour of cuddles before bed each night and as many hugs and kisses as Pinto can handle.

From the first time Inkling held Squirt, he promised his nephew that his "Uncle Inkling" would always be there for him, even if he couldn't see him, because he loved him.
