There are certain steps the adults need to take to get all the kids and Vegimals (and Kwazii) to do certain things.
Kwazii refuses to take a bath under any circumstance unless he's bribed with food. If someone asks the baby Vegimals to take a bath, it's usually yes because Shellington gives them a bubble bath, lets them all give him a bubble beard, and gives them bath toys to play with. If it's ever a no, all Shellington has to do is give his baby a few cuddles, and promise toys and bubbles, and the cutie will say yes.
With the kids however... cue the near weekly fight over whether or not going into the ocean counts as a bath, the chases all around the Octopod, and their guardians needing to stand outside to door to make sure they stay in there for more than a minute, etc.
Reverse psychology works on Kwazii and the baby Vegimals, although no one has the heart to use it on the Vegimals. Whenever anyone is trying to get Kwazii to eat vegetables or go to bed, they usually use a lot of kid tactics to get him to do so, such as telling Kwazii that only big pirates eat their vegetables or Peso promising that if he eats his vegetables, then he'll be big and strong like the Captain.
Reverse psychology worked on the kids the first few times. Then whenever Tweak told the kids NOT to go to bed, they gave her the sassiest look their little faces could muster.
With the kids, the guardians are desperate enough to dice up vegetables and sneak them into the kids' food.
Peso is the best at getting the kids and Kwazii to do anything they don't want to do. He'll use their comfort objects to tell them it's OK to get a shot or get blood drawn or anything they don't want to, and he gives them a reason why they need to do it, and once they do it, Peso will give them a big hug and praise them for it.
