Everyone on the Octopod has a father either biological or Octo-Adopted (cough cough the Captain...)

The Captain's father left when he was a little cub, so Natquik took his place, and Natquik had dinner with his family almost every single night after Natquik started being "dad" to Barnacles.

Kwazii's father had never approved of his pirate lifestyle, and always wanted him to go into business instead. Kwazii's relationship with him was always strained. He found another father figure in the Captain. The Captain always accepted him for who he was, and he got as many belly rubs and ear scratches as he wanted with the Captain around.

Peso's father was extremely neglectful of his family, and often mistreated his mother, Pogo, and him. His mother ended up divorcing him before Pinto was born, so when the Captain found this out, he immediately decided, "He's mine." So the Captain filled in as a daddy to both Peso and Pinto. He does everything from letting his boys lay their heads in his lap when they're tired to playing pirate-medic with Pinto when no one else could.

Shellington's father is somewhat like him, shy, awkward, and a bit nerdy. He ended up raising both Shellington and Pearl on his own with his sister's help after his wife died of cancer, and had to put his own grieving on pause so he could be there for his kids while they grieved.

Dashi's father is practically an overgrown puppy himself and would walk through the Sahara Desert for his girls. He had started wanting a son for a bit after Dashi was born and around the time that his wife was pregnant with Koshi so it would be 2v2. He got two other girls. He's also the kind of dad who tells incredibly corny jokes and his girls' embarrassing baby stories in public simply to embarrass his wife and kids.

Inkling's father was a very respected scholar, but he'd always try to leave meetings or work earlier if he could so he could spend time with Inkling and his siblings.

Squirt's father always treated his only son with the utmost respect, and started teaching him manners from a very young age. Inkling was incredibly surprised when his nephew who had just learned how to speak was already saying "please" and "thank you" and "pardon me"

Tweak is an absolute daddy's girl. She'd always be so so so happy to go on patrol with him to help other creatures, and she even had a mini ranger uniform so she could be just like him. After his wife left him with a two year old daughter, Ranger Marsh decided to make the best of the situation and raise Tweak all by himself. From the night Tweak's mother left, he made a silent promise to his baby girl that he'd never let anyone harm his little Tweaky for as long as he lived.

The baby Vegimals never knew their parents. Shellington was "Daddy" from day 1. Whenever his babies cried, he'd always cradle them in his arms and try to figure out what they needed. Tweak even made a stroller that could hold all the baby Vegimals and one of those baby carrier things so Shellington could hold all 12 of his little ones at once.
