The Captain, as the honorary "Daddy" of everyone has specific duties that he performs with love always.
It's the Captain's job to kiss "boo-boos" all better, and he'll always be on standby when Peso's patching someone up.
The Captain insists on sometimes being an embarrassing dad. He'll bring out Admiral Sweaty Sock and will tell his children "dad jokes". Almost everyone cringes, but laughs at how silly Admiral Sweaty Socks is, and Peso always gives "Daddy Barnacles" the biggest round of applause he can.
A daddy is supposed to protect his babies. The Captain takes it to another level. He'd wrap all his "children" in bubble wrap if he could. When Kwazii begged the Captain to let him pick a not-too-scary horror movie to watch, the Captain agreed after Kwazii PROMISED he'd pick a PG horror movie. The "scary" movie the Captain let them watch was Night at the Museum, and he still thought it was "too scary" for his babies.
The Captain tries to let Tweak stay up as long as she can, and even sends someone to keep an eye on her while he puts everyone else to bed before going down to the Launch Bay and spending some quality time with his "little baby girl"
Shellington loved being daddy to the Vegimals. The cuties love him to pieces and will always waddle up to him, raise their tiny little flippers up, and beg to be held by "Daddy Shellydo". All 12 of them. Shellington has no way of saying 'no' to any of his sweet little babies, so he ends up holding them all in his lap.
Another "Daddy's responsibility?" The Captain has the job of making sure all his babies are comfortable in bed. When the kids hid in another room, the Captain would seek his babies out, and give them a kiss goodnight.
The Captain wants his "babies" to be comfortable, so he'll sneak around the place, and tuck in any member of his crew who looks like they need to be. He'll tuck in all the members in his crew and give them kisses because he doesn't want his "babies" to have nightmares.
