Taking Care of Themselves

Some people on the Octopod have some trouble with this, but usually, either Peso or the Captain decides to take care of them, and that's the end of that. 

The Captain usually puts off eating, sleeping, etc. to work or take care of his babies, and none of them refuse to allow it. Once when Shellington was in the Sick Bay with the stomach flu and the Captain refused to leave his side, Shellington got up, called for Peso, and Peso very calmly dragged the Captain to bed and lay on his chest so he couldn't get up.

Kwazii has no self-preservation instincts. None at all. He will run head-first into walls for no reason other than he can. Everyone freaks when he does, and Peso and the Captain will sprint to him and make sure he's OK before setting him loose again.

Peso sometimes gets so immersed in caring for a patient that he'll stay in the Sick Bay for hours on end and refuse to eat or drink or sleep. No one allows this to happen, and they'll help him in any way they can from Inkling bringing him a tray of tea and fish biscuits to Dashi dragging him to her room and letting him cuddle her until he falls asleep.

Shellington is the same way with his research, and his babies sometimes have to take care of their daddy. When the baby Vegimals realize "Shellydo" is still awake in the lab at 5 AM when the babies woke up to cook, they'll all go into the lab, pull out his bed for him, and lay him down on the bed while singing lullabies and if Shellington doesn't eat, they'll all bring him kelp cakes and fish biscuits and force him to sit down and eat. 

Dashi has forgotten to sleep on multiple occasions. Tweak often goes to HQ to find her and drags her to her room and cuddles her until she gets sleepy so she'll go to sleep and not stay up all night working.

Ironically, Tweak's probably way worse than Dashi is. Whenever Dashi goes down to the Launch Bay and finds an exhausted Tweak working on blueprints, she'll immediately bring Tweak to bed, refuse to let her leave, take all her blueprints up to her room, sing Tweak lullabies, and let Tweak lay her head in her lap.
