Pros and Cons of Being Raised by Siblings

There are some pros to living with siblings and having them as guardians, as the kids have learned, and there are some cons as well.

Pro: Siblings are nicer than parents and when the kids ask for "five more minutes" before bed, their guardians are willing to bend the 9 PM bedtime a little bit.

Con: There have been times where Dashi and Peso were absolutely at a lost for what to do with the kids, and ended up locked in the bathroom trying not to cry, so once they got themselves back together, they ran to the Captain, Inkling, or Tweak for help. Usually, the person they went to will hug them and let them cry it all out (and make a cup of hot tea for them or give them enough cuddles to last time a lifetime) and they'll help them with the kids.

But the kids know immediately when their guardians are having a hard time so their guardians get tons of extra cuddles in bed when the kid insists on climbing into bed with them and giving them their best sad, guilty faces and an "I'm sorry I was bad. I'll be good now." And neither Dashi nor Peso have ever been able to resist that.

With siblings as guardians, the kids practically get to have their best friend as their guardian, which equals far more fun and snuggling on sick days and far more visits to Tweak or Kwazii.

Since their siblings are younger and "hipper", Koshi, Jane, and Pinto don't have Squirt's problem of Inkling trying to be "cool" and making them want to crawl into a hole and stay there forever. Younger guardians also mean more "woke" siblings who have no bias towards whatever the kids want to be and let them experience with what they are interested in.

However, Inkling's methods of childcare are set in stone, so Squirt knows that there are precise punishments put in place if he breaks the rules. The sibling guardians are experimenting with whatever random parenting methods they found online and thought "hmm, maybe I should give this a try." Oh and Dashi seeing some cute kids' clothes on social media that the girls find absolutely mortifying but Dashi insists on making them wear anyways.
