Chapter 149: Josephine & Amara's Surprise Part 1

It was only right that Josephine & Amara's grand debut be celebrated, that THEY be celebrated. My girls deserved it, and when did Steven Tyler come up with the idea? Well of course naturally, our entire family was on board to surprise my girls. It was murder to keep it secret from them, especially Josephine whom we couldn't keep anything from.... but amazingly it worked out there. So much was planned to include.... new guitars for them both, specifically ones from my collection that I'd played on stage before that I knew were their favorites. Nikki designed Josephine & Amara new guitar straps to go with them & oh there were so many more surprises....and where you will find us is getting ready, feeling excited & sharing tender, precious moments as a family.

Tonight's the night of Josephine & Amara's surprise celebration, and currently we're getting ready, I am already dressed.... dressed to kill as my honeybee says, helping my sons get dressed & my daughters are with Nikki getting ready.

"Daddy, can we give our surprises to Josey & Amara before we leave?" James asks, looking up at me, his expression is a perfect combo of Nikki & I.

"You bet we can, I know your sisters will love them."

"We be on stage too daddy with you an' momma's band?" Tony asks eagerly, and I find myself holding back tears, just so fucking touched.

"WE would love that, your ma & I." I hug my sons to me, one my twin & the other a true combo of myself & my beloved husband...and they are SO loved, my greatest gifts along with their sisters.

I finish getting the boys ready, before we head to the girls & Nikki....and we stop a moment at the scene before us now....

Nikki taking away my breath, smile wide upon his full lips.... like me dressed to kill, I mean its like damn. And best of all, he's helping Josephine with her make-up...seems he's already helped Amara wear some & apparently even my precious Frankie (if I know her, she begged...wearing just a hint of eye shadow, making the eyes she shares with me pop). The three of them are talking, laughing & Josephine especially is asking a million questions about what or why we're dressing up....

"Where are we going? What are we doing? Where's dad & the boys......" It is at this moment, Nikki looks up...his eyes soft & glowing as I clear my throat softly & all eyes are on me....

"Dad & the boys are here...." The way their eyes light up, the way they look at me, like I am a hero.... well, I AM, I am to my children....to my husband, and they in turn are MY heroes. God, Josephine especially looks so grown up.... just like Nikki. Amara too, her my first 'twin' & Frankie? God, 7...and another clone of Nikki. "---To answer your questions sweetheart, we're going somewhere.... It's a special surprise. Now.... are we all ready?"

Josephine is bursting with more questions I can tell, Amara much the same.... but they reply with, "Yes Dad......do we look all right? And...first, you should kiss mom."

I blink & my three beautiful girls are hugging me, Tony & James are getting in on the action & I share a look with Nikki.... time stops for a moment.... him smiling, taking away my breath....

At last, I reply looking at my three daughters I share with Nikki, "---You look beautiful, like beautiful young ladies. As beautiful as your ma." I feel myself getting misty.... Again, they are growing up.... they look so grown already.... Amara, nearly 10, Frankie 7 & Josephine will be 14, but she's already a teenager. Where DOES the time go?

A gentle touch upon my face & I find myself getting lost in Nikki's eyes....

"I feel that way too.... I love you." He whispers.

"I love you too.... you were made for me...." I whisper back, as I claim his lips in a slow sweet kiss. I realize now the kids are looking on, they look SO happy and here WE all are, together....

We do linger for some moments, all of us before Tony & James decide they want to give their older sisters the gifts they'd picked out (with some help from Nikki & I). The girls are very touched & there are so many hugs, but most of all love....

The excitement grows, Pictures are taken by both Nikki & Josephine wanting to preserve these beautiful moments for ever & then at last we make our way to the party at the Rainbow Bar & Grill meant for Josephine & Amara in car I'd arranged for us all....

Nikki burrowed into myside, eyes dancing.... glowing, highlighted by the make-up, he's perfected. I can NEVER get over how he FEELS. Our children talking about the night ahead, Josephine & Amara knowing its something that's a treat, something special......and I can't WAIT to see their reaction. It's something they deserve; it's something special, and making new memories for them......

Each of them, so close with one another.... there is NOTHING I love more than being a father, being a husband....

"I feel that way too Jo-Jo Bear...." Nikki whispers, "It's all magical....and the best part is, I get to do this at your side. YOURS. It all goes back to you Joe. There is NOTHING that compares to being their mother, to being YOUR husband. Nothing." Nikki is trying so hard to hold back tears....

"Shh...don't hold back baby..." I whisper, as tears fall & I gently thumb them away. Nikki did wear waterproof make-up by the way...., "---I feel you." I gently kiss him, reveling in the feel & I catch the eyes of each of my precious children.... They of course KNOW.

Always we are all connected to one another, bound by more than just blood but love....

Before I realize it, we get closer to our destination, and I note the triplets are practically bouncing in their seats in excitement......Nikki & I share a look before looking to Josephine & Amara.

"Ok, we're getting close.... you two close your eyes, ok? It's a surprise for the two of you.... something that you both deserve MORE than deserve. I can PROMISE YOU both, you'll love it." I can see the questions in my oldest girls' eyes and before I can answer it, Nikki does....

"Its something that all of us came up with & don't worry, your brothers & Sisters.... will get to share in it, that's why WE are here." At these words, both girls close their eyes & at last we arrive......

By some miracle, the photographers were kept at bay from getting in. Nikki & I always made it a point, to try & protect our children from the worst parts as much as we could.

Amara & Josephine with their eyes still closed, are helped of the car by their mother & I, along with Tony.... James & Frankie helping them along & we enter the Rainbow.

"Ok, Amara.... Josephine, open your eyes now...."

Both girls open them, their eyes going as wide as they can as they see our family, calling out 'surprise!' & realize exactly where we are. Everyone of course wouldn't miss this for the world. My oldest girls are speechless....and Steven Tyler, a grinning & proud 'Screamin' demon' as he's known, steps up along with Brad, Tom & Joey (Mick & Vince at their sides) ....

"So the other night, when you girls made your amazing, beyond BEAUTIFUL debut, I along with Brad, Tom, Joey & of course your father had the idea to throw you Josephine Nicole Perry & you Amara Rain Perry this party to celebrate not just your debut, but you girls....and, I speak for all of us when I say......we're proud of you, so proud. And remember its OUR honor, to honor you.... It's only fair since you did the same for US."

Like Steven said, the night at this point in the story....is yet young, so much more to come and for the next bit, Amara will take the reins.
