Chapter 195: A Date with my Empress Part 1 (Hunter Mercury)

Time marches ever forward, for most.... but for myself? Time stands still whenever I am with my girlfriend: Josephine, otherwise known as my empress. It's been 10 months since we met, when I found a literal dream come true...no, when we found each other & It's been 9 months since we've officially been dating. Either way so very nearly a year, and I know both anniversaries' will be celebrated, I have some ideas in mind....my mind, Josephine.... she's changed me for the better even at her lowest moment, like that much remembered date of November 18, 2004, date.... She SAW me. I saw HER, I saw in her a kindred spirit. I saw her so broken, I saw how beautiful she was & she didn't even know it. I am not just meaning her physical beauty, but that larger than life.... She has a bold personality, a perfect one. She is wild, order & chaos rolled into one. I never ever imagined I would find someone like her that loved numbers, science, space.... nature & music. Someone who'd been thru similar as me, but I have......We've both thrived & where I am at now is in a rehearsal space, a date planned for this evening/tonight & We're getting ready to leave soon.... when doesn't matter, what DOES is that Josephine is right by myside......

In fact, with everyone watching Josephine along with her insanely talented brother & Sisters have been rehearsing our set fir the Queen Tribute next month. In addition to us, of course the Queen themselves & Josephine's entire extended family.

The final note has just rung out, echoing like a whisper.... then roaring like Thunder. A moment of silence, awed silence.... not a bad silence at all.

"Awfully deep in thought there Mr. Mercury..." A teasing whisper of Josephine's voice, and despite the tears of pride & joy upon my father's face.... he currently has a huge smirk, which widens with....

"None of that Mr. Mercury nonsense darling.... call me Hunter...." I tease back.

"HA!" Dad laughs loudly, "—You DO love using 'darling' my darling. As my son you will never escape...."

"Vulcan Hearing...." I mutter, I feel Josephine shaking in laughter which makes me laugh.

Mum smacks dad in the back of the head, "Honestly Fred..." He shakes his head, but the tone is fond before his look & tone shifts to one of many emotions chief among them love & pride. "---Proud of you Son, proud of the lot of you......I'd say you've really done Queen proud." I'm tearing up now.

"We thank you, means a lot to us. We did this because wherever my sister goes, I follow, we did this because we know how much it means to her....to Hunter, a brother gained." Amara, Josephine's sister says.

"I'd say it all goes back to Josephine, granted it was at one of the worst moments of her life.... but for the first time someone saw me, believed in me. And her family's blessing means SO much..." I can't HELP but get emotional, glancing at Josephine.

Josephine, it seems whispers something to her brothers & sisters, who look towards their parents before nodding, coming forward with a large box as Josephine explains.... blowing my mind & I only fall deeper in love with her....

"I wanted to surprise you with this, as a kickoff to our date night. It's something very special; I made it myself...Mom, he helped with fabrics & such..." A pause, her voice dropping to a whisper words meant for my ears alone, "---I got lost in you.... open it."

I open it, my eyes widening in shock as I look at my girlfriend in awe.... for I realize....

"I thought.... well, I know how much you wanted to honor your parents too, cause I know how much they mean to you...."

"You have no true idea how much YOU mean to me...and not just for this...." I turn to my parents, everyone looking showing them...

"Well bloody hell. It's a recreation.... of my Wembley outfit, God...wow."
