Chapter 197: There is no where I'd Rather be than here....

I remember so very well those rehearsals for the Queen Tribute, especially the feeling of pride.... awe, you name it.... of seeing my children do something EXTRORDINARY, doing what they loved.

"We all of us were witnessing HISTORY, something special.... we all knew ya know Jo-Jo bear?" Nikki says eyes which have seen so much.... that I get lost in & filled now with tears, which despite my own now...I gently thumb his away.

I exhale breathing Nikki in now reminiscing. "We were Honeybee, we were......and we thought their rehearsals were history making? They were, BUT the actual performance, the interviews....it was LEGEND. They were. OF course, there was our respective bands all paying tribute to Queen, epic in and of itself....and Queen themselves of course"

"God how true was that? Is that? Coming into their own, Josephine especially dealing with the interviews, the press.... god, still proud. People said they were crazy, that we were for allowing them to do that.... well, they epically gave the world the middle finger and then some. Then there came the last day of L.A. rehearsals, I think it was what October 5? And then a Few days later, we were all Bound for London." Nikki muses, still holding my hand to his face, me loving as always the warmth of him.... My world.

And where you will find Queen, the extended family and my children (including mine & Nikki's son-in-law is on that date of October 5, 2005....one more thing, it would turn out that Queen had some surprises of their own in store, you will see in time....

Rehearsals have been epic, legendary bands coming together i.e. Aerosmith, my husband's band Mӧtley Crϋe & then there is the band name the kids including Hunter decided to call THEIR band and God do I love it.... The Mercury-Perry Project. Instruments have been packed away carefully, and everyone is lingering around, and all eyes are on one Hunter Mercury who has Storm wearing Noise proof headphones sitting on his shoulders along with Josephine, Frankie, James and Tony & Storm VERY adorably excitedly exclaims....

"I in band! I in Band..." She looks at Nikki and I, "Mommy...daddy, see me?"

She, like her older brothers and sisters will make her way to the stage in one way or the other, of that I have no doubt. Storm is 2 years old now, 2 & already following in her older siblings' footsteps, and in mine and Nikki's...after all how could she not? I am proud of her, so extremely grateful for the miracle that she is and that my oldest daughter brought her into this world & gave her that chance....

Chuckles sound out; Storm's enthusiasm is very catching....

"We see you Storm, look at you Sweet Rainbow 2 yrs old & already a little rock star." Not gonna lie, Nikki's words get me misty.... I mean so damn proud.

"I be big rock star soon!" Comes Storm's reply. "Grow first." She looks down at Hunter, "---tank ew, me in band. I happy, ew make Josey Happy."

"Your welcome Storm..." A smile which widens with, "There is nothing I love more than to see her happy, makes her honestly even more beautiful." Josephine blushes, but the way she & Hunter look at each other....  it's just like Nikki & I.

Storm decides she wants Nikki & I, So I hold her while Josephine & Hunter Kiss before being teased by one Roger Deacon-Taylor who keeps making eyes at Frankie.... Everyone having their own conversations, laughter......chaos, family. No where I would rather be than here.... with my husband at my side and our children....

Nikki leans in whispering, while Storm cuddles into my chest as I pull Nikki too me and he sounds amused & emotional both....

"It looks like we may just have another future son-in-law on our hands.... kids got a huge crush on Frankie. He from what I understand is basically Roger's twin, a huge flirt...." Nikki sighs, "Frankie just like Josephine is my twin.... she doesn't see it, she doesn't understand WHY.... but one day she will you know?"

"I agree babe, I agree....and she will, she will see.... it's taken us a lifetime to get to where we are now Nikki, but God I'd suffer a million lifetimes to get to where we are NOW." I feel now the sting of tears and I feel that bass roughened hand on my face, looking now into my honeybee's eyes.

"I feel the same Joe......my Jo-Jo bear. It was YOU...you that saved me and gave me still.... you are my reason and my drug.... I love you." I get Nikki's deeper meaning as we kiss.

Josephine, I notice now is being held by her boyfriend, arms wrapped around her from behind while talking to John Deacon and Tom Hamilton, Joey of course at his side & then Freddie & Brian come up to talk to Nikki & I.

"We were wanting to run some things by you both to make sure its ok, we have some surprises in store as it were, god knows its been damned hard for me to keep my mouth shut....but ah, well Hunter doesn't know I mean he's always dreamed of performing with me, with our band & so I would love to surprise him with that....Bri?" Freddie questions.

"Well, I can tell you he wont be the only one and talking with Rog and John, we'd love to help give them new instruments." Nikki and I look at each other stunned; Storm gives an enthusiastic 'wow' & I cant help but smile at that.

"You.... you...wow." Nikki stammers before clearing his throat, "You guys really don't have to do that, but I can see it means a lot to you & if you really insist its more than ok with us."

"Least we can do mate.... they're making their own history, and it's honestly an Honor to include them & it's been made possible by your Josephine, she believed in our son from the moment they met & God you don't know truly just how grateful Bri & I are for that." Freddie says & really his words ring very much true....

Time passes & before I know it, we all of us are at home....in our kitchen naturally after of course, spending a bit more time with our extended family.

"Today was like seeing History, I mean....it was seriously wicked awesome." Tony exclaims looking to his brother & Sisters. "---And I get to see it, be a part of it.... what could be better?"

"You will always be a part of its Tony, cause we're a family. we are US AND not to mention you've really helped with management stuff." James answers his brother.

What a day, and James is right....so right, already learning at his age.... He's been heavily involved in the process of what's been going on, looking after his siblings. And really could be better than all this? Doing what you love with who you love? Nikki and I have six children, six beyond amazing children...who take after us both. We are so proud of them, not just for what's coming but because they are OUR children......

A couple of days after this day would follow, days filled with getting packed.... the outfits Nikki made all SIX of our children packed, getting passports in order & the surprise arranged. The surprises were hard to get past Josephine, but they came together, and the rest is history. Considering all our children had been thru in their lives then, it made them making history all the sweeter...more epic. They all deserved the honor, deserved the happiness.... doing what they loved and doing it despite the shit others would say to break them down.

"They learned well from us Joe, they are always as we say learning.... god, their first really interviews...holding their own, lighting striking twice as it were.... made you & I even more proud."

"God, I know, how true Nikki...how true. They made their own legend, just like we did.... just like we ARE. I love you so much...."

"I feel you Joe...I feel you..." Nikki of course knows my true meaning. He & I found starting with Josephine that really our children and now our grandchildren were and are our greatest legacy.

A/N: Only 2 chapters left aka 198 & 199, but of course 200 parts totally will be met. So excited for that!
