Chapter 76

The month of July was highly unentertaining for both Adria and Sirius, not only where they finally able to take the mandrake out of their mouths, thankfully, but that didn't mean that they were allowed to see if they had officially become an animagus.

They wanted to wait until they were with the boys, seeing as they all done it collectively, they didn't want to do it without them. Also, Adria was sure that she would get a laugh out of all of their forms, and couldn't wait for the first reactions of her friends.

Of course, both Adria and Sirius where glad that they didn't have the inconvenience of having a leaf in their mouths for a full month, which kind of ruined the taste of everything that they ate, and sometimes got in the way of them 'sucking each other faces off' as Benji liked to call it.

Judy would be giving birth soon, and it was safe to say that everyone was excited for it. The woman was about ready to birth and the thought sent Douglas into a panicked frenzy. For the last week, he had been packing and unpacking the bag he would take with them to the hospital in the best attempt to be as organised as possible, and whilst he done that, it was taking Judy a hard time to realise just how close she was to giving birth.

"Adria?!" the woman called from the kitchen where she sat at the kitchen counter, a glass of orange juice in her hand which she occasionally sipped. She flipped the page of the newspaper that sat in front of her, which was barely interesting to her but she had nothing else to do for her morning, seeing as Douglas was out at work.

"Coming mum!" Adria shouted, her voice faint from her mother as she pushed herself up from the living room sofa, making her way into the kitchen with Sirius close behind.

"Looks like you two have mail," the woman smirked, nudging her head in the direction of the window where Adria's - and now Alina's - owl sat perched on the window ledge, a large pile of mail falling from its leg.

Adria moved quickly to get the mail, pushing herself onto her tiptoes and moving over the ledge to see that multiple letters had fell to the grass, and with a sigh, she gave her owl a treat, untied the mail from its leg and rushed outside to get the fallen letters.

"Babe?" Sirius called, frowning slightly, "what are you doing?"

"I'm just getting some letters," Adria laughed, her voice following the summers breeze through the window.

"Geez Sirius, can't you stand to be without her for more than a few seconds?" Judy teased, looking up from the newspaper she was casually reading to Sirius in front of her, who sent her a joking glare, a wide smile on his lips as he done so.

He was glad that he had a brilliant relationship with Judy, as well as Douglas too. They were amazing and a great stand in from his own parents - of course, as where James' parents - it was safe to say that he loved them, because it was extremely true. They were unlike anyone, unique really, and usually, from what Sirius had heard, a girlfriend's parents weren't always fond of their significant other, so the fact that Judy and Douglas took him in without thinking was a blessing to him, he'd be forever grateful to the two, as much as they would never think that themselves.

"You know, I would really like to see a day in the life of you two at Hogwarts," Judy laughed, eyeing the pile of letters that Adria was struggling with, resulting in Sirius hurrying over to her to grab the ones he could, "I'd never think my baby girl would be popular!"

"I'm not popular, mum," Adria laughed, dumping the letters on the counter before jumping up to sit on it. She pulled on Sirius' shoulders gently, wrapping her legs around his waist as he stood facing her mother, a small smile on his lips which she couldn't see and leaning her chin on the top of his head, absentmindedly tapping her fingers on the bare skin of the bottom of his neck which hadn't been covered by the t-shirt he worn.
