Beauxbatons and Durmstrang

Months went by, and the emo continued to earn several points for Slytherin. With no Quidditch matches, the students were eagerly anticipating the Triwizard Tournament. Many students had prepared aging potions for the occasion.

Sasuke kept exploring the castle, and one day he silently followed the house-elves who worked there, but they always vanished when he got too close.

Sasuke, Luna, and Zacharias were at the edge of the Black Lake, feeding the Giant Squid. Zacharias had officially joined the group since he was always Sasuke's companion in Divination classes, and Luna had a good impression of him since he never insulted her.

The three began discussing the tournament.

Zacharias: So, do you guys want to participate?

Luna: I'm not interested. I'm gathering information about the Wrinkled Horn Snorkack because I have a trip planned with my dad for Christmas.

Sasuke: The prize is quite interesting.

Zacharias: But do you have any idea how to enter? Many students are preparing aging potions.

Sasuke: That potion only alters the body, not the essence. I doubt it will work. It's better to wait and see how Dumbledore will conduct this selection.

Sasuke: Do you know where the house-elves of Hogwarts live? I've been following them out of curiosity, but they disappear whenever I get too close. I thought that wouldn't be possible in Hogwarts.

Luna: They can Apparate because their magic is different from wizards, but I don't know where they live.

Zacharias: Finally, a topic they don't know about! - he thought, chuckling a bit. - They live in the Hogwarts kitchen, which is near the Hufflepuff Common Room. Why don't we go pay them a visit? - he said as he started walking, followed by Sasuke and Luna.

They returned to the castle and walked to a wall with a painting of a fruit basket hanging on it. Zacharias tickled a pear, and a passage opened.

As they entered, the elves greeted Zacharias and asked if he wanted anything, but he declined. Zacharias introduced his friends, and the elves asked them several questions.

They answered the questions, and when Luna requested a drink, all the elves hurried off to bring various types of beverages.

Zacharias: They are very helpful. If you asked for a cow, they'd probably bring one right away.

Sasuke spent his time with Zacharias and Luna, discussing the tournament, doing homework, and studying in a group. They usually parted ways when the emo wanted to go to the library to review topics mentioned by the professors.

He continued going to the hideout to train. He realized he could only use wind magic to float since he couldn't move, making him an easy target. But he had the eagle to compensate for this lack of mobility. He also kept practicing his corporeal Patronus and became more determined when Zacharias quickly reached the same level with his Patronus.

Sasuke enjoyed visiting Snape's office now and then to help him with all sorts of potions.

The professors and students received an important notice stating that the representatives from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang would arrive on the night of October 30th.

Afternoon classes were canceled. In the last week, students had been talking only about this topic. The most common questions were, "Who will be the champion from Hogwarts?" "What will the challenges be?" etc.

The castle was thoroughly cleaned, statues polished, and dust removed from the portraits. The castle looked as if it had just been built; it was completely new.

The caretaker of Hogwarts, Argus Filch, was furious whenever a student entered the castle with dirty shoes. On the night of October 30th, students left the common room and headed to dinner but were surprised when they entered the Great Hall, as it was all decorated.

There were large silk banners on the walls bearing the emblems of Hogwarts houses: a golden lion with a red background for Gryffindor, a bronze eagle with a blue background for Ravenclaw, a black badger with a yellow background for Hufflepuff, and a serpent with a green background for Slytherin.

The heads of houses were arranging their students at the tables.

Sprout: Hannah, don't wear that flowered hat - she said, seeing Hannah take off the hat. She picked up her wand and brushed Zacharias Smith's messy hair.

Sasuke yawned and looked at the clock. It was six o'clock; the sky was darkening, and the temperature began to drop. After a while, the emo looked at the clock again and saw it was already seven-thirty. - I think the Beauxbatons representative has arrived - he thought.

Professor Dumbledore's voice echoed in the crowd. Through the window, they could see a pinkish-blue carriage approaching.

The carriage was quite large, being pulled by winged horses that were larger than normal horses.

The carriage landed slowly, and on the door of the carriage, they could see the crest of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic.

A very tall woman stepped out of the carriage, Miss Olympe Maxime, the headmistress of Beauxbatons. She walked elegantly towards Dumbledore and greeted him.

Afterward, more than a dozen students, both male and female, exited the carriage and walked towards Miss Maxime.

Sasuke looked at the clock again, and it was already seven-forty-five. Everyone heard a loud sound coming from the lake. They could see a massive ship emerging from the lake and docking at the shore.

More than a dozen Durmstrang students stepped out of the boat and walked toward the castle.

A wizard in a white suit approached Dumbledore.

Dumbledore: Igor Karkaroff, welcome to Hogwarts - he said with a smile. The Great Hall was fuller with the presence of Durmstrang and Beauxbatons students. The students recognized that the student behind Karkaroff was the national Bulgarian player, the famous European Seeker Viktor Krum.
