The Four Champions

The door to the room where the three champions were gathered swung open, and in walked the emo. Right behind him were the directors discussing why Hogwarts had two champions, with Dumbledore stating that he didn't know.

Karkarov declared that he would resign, as he no longer wanted to participate, believing that Hogwarts had cheated and now had double the chances of winning. He suggested that he and Maxime choose another champion each, but Mr. Crouch stated that this was impossible since the Goblet of Fire had already extinguished; now, the four champions were bound by a magical contract and could not withdraw.

Karkarov grew furious and stated that he would inform the Ministry of Magic.

Dumbledore approached Harry and asked if he had placed his name in the Goblet of Fire or if he had asked an older student to do it, but Harry insisted he had done nothing.

He posed the same question to the emo, who claimed he had put his name in the Goblet. He explained that it was easy to trick the Goblet and that there were many ways to do so. The first was to ask an older student; the second was to ask a magical creature; and the third was to decipher and break the spell.

Everyone fell silent, taken aback by the emo's explanation. Snape inquired why he had placed his name in the Goblet.

Sasuke: For the money, obviously.

Mad-Eye Moody speculated that if Harry hadn't put his name in the Goblet, then it was likely someone was trying to kill him, which irritated Karkarov even further.

Mr. Crouch reiterated that the magical contract was already in place and that now there would be four champions, none of whom could withdraw.

Fleur and Krum exited with their respective directors, ignoring Harry and the emo. Both directors stated that they would never participate in the Triwizard Tournament again.

Sasuke and Harry left and headed to their respective common rooms. As they walked, Harry wanted to try talking to the emo, but he silenced him, stating that they were now rivals and had no time for socializing.

Upon reaching the Slytherin Common Room, he found everyone celebrating, as a Slytherin had been chosen. Sasuke recounted to them the conversation he had with the directors and shared the ways to trick the Goblet. Some of his peers complained, saying he could have warned them earlier, to which he simply replied that they never asked.

The next day, the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw houses were divided, unsure of whom to support. Draco was furious with both Potter and Uchiha, but despite his anger, he only insulted Potter, as offending Uchiha would be suicide.

Ron was irate because he didn't believe Harry, who insisted he hadn't placed his name in the Goblet. That same day, the four champions were summoned for a wand check and an interview with Rita Skeeter. Mr. Ollivander examined all the wands and declared them all excellent, revealing the cores of each one. Then the interviews began.

Sasuke exited the room, not wanting to be interviewed. Rita didn't mind, as she was more interested in Harry, planning to feature him on the front page as the sole champion of Hogwarts.

Harry continued to argue with everyone, as no one besides Hermione believed him. Days passed, and the emo continued to train, his magic growing stronger. He also meditated to find inner peace.

Zacharias and Luna were also practicing magic, as the emo told both of them that they needed to become stronger and asked what their houses thought of the situation.

Zacharias: They are unsure of whom to support. I told them the ways to trick the Goblet, and that made me more popular.

Luna: The same goes for me. They are undecided. Can you tell me how to trick the Goblet? she asked, and the emo shared everything.

Since the article in the Daily Prophet was released, the Gryffindors began mocking Sasuke, as the magical world didn't recognize him as a champion, but he didn't care.

Meanwhile, Harry was summoned by Hagrid, who took him to see what the first task would entail. He saw Madame Maxime and Karkarov hiding in the bushes. Harry informed Hermione that the first task would involve dragons, and later spoke with Sirius. However, due to an interruption, the animagus couldn't speak the spell that would help Harry in the task.

Harry decided to inform the emo about the first task since he felt it wasn't fair for everyone to know while he remained in the dark. Harry searched for the emo but couldn't find him anywhere, and there was little time left before the first task. He stopped looking and decided to practice, as the first task was fast approaching.
